Tiger Woods - WGC Bridgestone

So if Tiger had been level par on round 2 and Charl was having his 64 that day, do you honestly believe the coverage wouldn't have still followed Tiger more

Not what I said at all, and of course Tiger would have got more coverage, we all know that's how it is, for beter or worse.

Other than his 61 which was awesome I don't think he put it together well over the weekend, tiger needs a hot putter and without that right now he is as good as the next man.

Friday was the best putting performance I've seen from him in a long time.

The difference being he didn't have to go for pins or make the putts, middle of the green, lag it up, tap in for par is all he needed to do

Have to agree with this.
It was a slippers and pipe final round with the others having to try and play catch up. There was nothing to prove, he had done that on Friday with the 61, no one made any real move at him on Saturday so he took his foot off the gas and cruised home. He even said so in the interview afterwards.
The fear of Tiger seems to be starting to creep back into the field, even with the younger players now, and his new swing is really starting to work even though it can be a bit wayward at times.
Odds of Tiger winning after Saturday were 1-66. With the next best odds at 40-1!

Granted, you still have to get it round which he did but when you consider some of the putts he roled in on Friday you could argue that was the only difference in all 4 rounds, he holed some amazing putts.

He's a conservative player normally, most playing partners say this.

Is he worth betting against this week?

Betting on him is a sure way to LOSE your money.

I really enjoyed watching Tiger dominate... I quite hope he does it again this weekend... among others.

But that's the point - he didn't HAVE to make them
On the Friday it was still anyone's Tournament so he was in fullon Competition mode.
Come Sunday when, to be quite honest, he could have used his 7 iron all the way round and still won as nobody else was capable of challenging, all he had to do was lag them, take the 2 putts and walk on.
It would have been interesting if Duffers or Bradders had got their acts together over the weekend and got closer to Tiger - he would then have had to go for some of those putts and when the pressure's on anyone can start missing them - pars wouldn't have been enough then and Tiger would have been in trouble.
Sunday was a fairway, green and 2 putt day - he didn't need to hole putts.

So are you saying he didnt try to hole putts Saturday and Sunday?

Not as such, but the pressure wasn't on and in that situation a player like Tiger can go into defensive mode, play for the heart of the green and be content with 2 putts instead of having to chase flags..

Imurg, you missed my earlier point, his game is greens and hole the putts. Tiger rarely flag hunts.
