Likewise, I hit the bottom of the barrel yesterday in France. It's not often I lose my temper on a golf course, I like to think I am good at staying calm and relaxed but yesterday while playing Wimereux in north France, I lost it, slammed some clubs, chucked some clubs and swore a lot!

It happens though. I played a match earlier in the year and lost a hole to a 7.... after hitting a nice long drive down the middle of the fairway! Saving grace for me was that it was the first, so chances to recover, but a terrible start.

Come on Louise - so many positive things have happened to you in golf recently that minor setbacks should be no problem. We lesser mortals have to put up with more bad than good.

You did not lose the match on the 17th you were in the match until the 17th. Eleven or not you did good to that point. Focus on the good shots from the round and be proud that you were competitive.

Even better, that's what you should be focusing on.
Learn from it. Work out why you lost to an 11 but on the plus side you are playing well in 2012 and will inevitably have odd blips and dips in form. Take heart, move on and keep doing what you are doing. If you really are struggling why not get a refresher lesson

Been there done that. Had a fourteen on the first, a short par four driveable most days! Followed that with a nine on the eighteenth in the same round. Learned thou, worst i've had since is an eight!:thup:
