What happens to the headsets afterwards? Are they re-used or just chucked? Genuine question, I'm not looking to throw water on the post.
I guess they are cleaned and reused - they are not the simple earbud headsets we get offered on flights or city bus tours. I’ll ask him when I see him later today 👍. Otherwise 240,000 headsets to cover concurrent two night sessions at Leeds and Reading 😳

I used to work with a firm who organised silent discos in the UK when they first took off and generally the headphones are deep cleaned after use and re-used provided they aren't damaged. The sets were over ear with multiple channel options but pretty cheap and cheerful given how they likely wouldn't last more than a few events

New club shop opened at Tigers today. First team players manning the tills and packing bags. Love it when professional sport retains its connection with the fans.

Also good practice as if rugby finances keep going the way they are, if could be useful career experience

Watched the Indian moon landing today… what an amazing achievement. To be able to go to the moon for less than $80m

Mind boggling that on July 11th they announced the would reach on Aug 23rd 0545 pm they would land by 6:07 pm and presto they did it

I don't know but it's unfathomable to even calculate that even if you knew all parameters especially when u are traveling at 5000 + kms per hour for many days.

Last 15 min of TERROR as it's rightfully called where everything can go wrong when you have to travel 750 kms with a speed of 1.6 kms/ sec ( 5760 kms per hour) at 30 kms above moon to come to 800 meters above moon to just less than 50 kms per hour. Last 150 meters it was almost stand still dropping with AI assisted cameras taking insane speed pictures to ensure it don't land in some rough crater where the mission went wrong last time and land in most optimal flat surface.

i was seeing WhatsApp messages of it being telecast into schools and railway stations. People gathering around to see it as if it was the World Cup finals. Surely, if it ignites the imagination of one boy or girl.. jobsagudden

The NHS ... At back end of June, my dentist commented on a skin blemish and suggested it was "worth getting it checked out". So I did.

Since then, I've had a GP appointment, a dermatology appointment, a biopsy, a follow-up, and, finally, yesterday had ir surgically removed. All in less than 2 months. We may think the NHS is broken - but at least some of it still works. My hat comes off to everyone involved.
It's always nice to hear experiences like that in the NHS.
Too often we hear negatives from the media which sometimes gives a false impression of the NHS.
Good to know it was sorted quickly. 👍

Indeed, a returnable £20 deposit is required - so they are not disposable, but cleaned afterwards.

They sorted me out quickly in 2017. If they hadn’t I wouldn’t be perusing these forums anymore. I have nothing but praise for the NHS. If it is a life threatening condition they are on to it as fast as they possibly can be.

The interesting bit about my condition/treatment was that it was not life threatening, nor indeed actually 'serious' - just that it was better to " ... deal with it now rather than it potentially becoming a serious problem for you later ... "

I understand the economics of them working this way - but am still darn impressed with how quickly they sorted it.

I've seen both the good and bad of the NHS,

Royal Free Hospital... When my wife had sudden and almost complete Liver failure in 2020 she received a transplant within 2 weeks of going into hospital. The treatment, post transplant care and ongoing support she receives has been world class.

Barts... My Dads partner was diagnosed with Cancer last year, after intensive radio and chemotherapy she was given the "all clear" in March, with a follow up appointment in 6 months time. (September) 6 weeks ago she developed a cough she couldn't shift, Barts wouldn't see her without a referral, her GP said it was a chest infection and gave her anti-biotics. In spite of her, my dad and her daughters continually phoning the Drs, the Local hospital and Barts whilst she was declining no one wanted to know. By the time they took her in it was far to widespread. We sadly buried her last week. A lovely lady who loved life.
