I thought this until I got an airless sprayer. Changed the painting game completely. Can paint a room start to finish in about an hour and the finish is awesome.
So works well if you don't need to move furniture out of the room, and you want ceiling and walls the same colour? Not much more to tell. Wagner airless sprayer, fill the bucket with a slightly thinned paint and spray the walls/ceilings in a sweeping, slightly overlapping pattern and Robert is your mother’s brother.
Did the living room (7m x 3.5m) in about an hour. Yeah, took about half an hour to mask everything up/cover the flooring but still quicker than a roller/brush approach.
I’m not sure what you’re saying here.So works well if you don't need to move furniture out of the room, and you want ceiling and walls the same colour?
Ok understood. You must have some huge plastic sheeting - I wouldn't trust myself to make the joins secure enough.I’m not sure what you’re saying here.
Our walls are pebble grey, the ceiling is white. Walls were masked off with plastic sheet when the ceiling was sprayed. Ceiling was part masked but used the fine nozzle to stop over spray.
Furniture covered with plastic sheeting.

The only paint spraying I've done is on cars (with a compressor) and my experience is that the overspray gets everywhere.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Lunch time.. all walls second coated bar one.. which is just drying , painted first thing this morning before I second coated the rest .. will be finished today
I use a Wagner spray gun for my garden fence (a lot of fence) and, yes, its so quick.I think spraying technology has moved on. Very little over spray with an airless system and with the precision nozzle it’s like using an airbrush.
If it’s running then your feed rate is too low or your material is too thin. Or you could be moving too slowly.I use a Wagner spray gun for my garden fence (a lot of fence) and, yes, its so quick.
But.. i have to follow through with a quick slap up and down with a brush because of the runs (cue the bad jokes )
Anyone suggest the model being discussed?
When you spray a fence outdoors the gentlest of breezes gives you that Donald Trump look.If it’s running then your feed rate is too low or your material is too thin. Or you could be moving too slowly.
Basically you’re getting too much paint in one place.
A breeze shouldn’t cause running paint though. Only too much material being sprayed will do that. When you spray a fence outdoors the gentlest of breezes gives you that Donald Trump look.
