Same here in South Wales, but I played yesterday
As I got out of the car it registered -2. After 9 holes we skipped to play 14. My right hand was like a claw made worse by the fact that I'd dipped it in a frozen pot to retrieve my ball.
And yes I had mitts - in a drawer at home!
In the club I had to hold my pint between my two palms to lift it.
Tomorrow morning next, in pouring rain

Playing this afternoon in the quarter final of the regional men’s singles bowls competition. If there is a downside, it’s against the current Spanish champion but I’m actually relishing the opportunity to play him. Buzzing!

Many moons ago we had a teambuild at a centre that had, amongst several other sports, bowls.
I had a knock on a driving range and looked pretty good compared to my colleagues and was convinced my lady colleagues were admiring me
Then we moved on to bowls. The instructor asked who'd played before and I raised my hand as I'd played many years before. He explained the technique re bias and I waited patiently.
Time to start, I volunteered to go first as everyone was nervous.
I released my bowl and watched it career over to the next rink.
I had the bias reversed!
I took some stick in the bar that night!
