Thin and shiny irons?

I had my eye on an MP59/69 combo set a while back.

already had a set of MP69's- shouldnt have sold them but at the time it was right

why's that? just bought a Nike Covert Driver

the original nike pro combos can be picked up for buttons. ive a set here in England and back in Ireland as its not worth me selling them. the bladed short irons started my love for a clean small headed blade!

MB\AP2 wouldn't be a bad choice

this was a thought, the AP2's seem a tad wide on the sole though- could be wrong

yep folks tend to hang on to them, only recently changed from using mine for 10 or so years because after a few face refurbs, & a few more shaft changes I finally wore them out, great blades for sure. if you find any in good shape, grab them.

only quoting Titleist, they certainly dont look wide, about the same as my T Zoids I would say

you could spread butter with the long irons. I only play down to a 5iron, sometimes 4. the 3 iron is so hard to hit well.

3 iron is my favourite club.

I've got Cobra AMP Pro irons that are as close to blades as modern irons get. Love them.

The Nike VR Pro Combos are a great set of irons, if I wasn't a tinkerer I could easily still have mine and play them for years.

I believe the Nike VR blades are meant to be good aswell (rather than cbs in longer irons)

How about Taylormade TP MC/MB combo ?

The MC has that 'nut' in the middle which always put me off and the MB back looks like a seagull in flight....yes I'm mr picky but once you have the image in your mind its hard to shift (like that mallet putter that looks like a guy riding a motorbike, cant remember the make)

How much were you quoted? Mine were £300 less than the equivalent Titleist model in the same spec.
