Hey Guys -

Which shaft have you got in your fairways?

Although it wasn't available to try at my fitting I went for the same as my driver, which was the Project-X

The stiff one that was available at The Belfry was just a little too soft and the fitter seemed confident that because the PX was best in the drivers I tried it would be in the fairway too. He also said it had the same characteristics as the one I was trying but a tad stiffer.

No idea what the one I was testing with was, but it was red. (Sounds like a woman describing a car!)

I finally had a fitting for the D3 on friday, tried approx ten different shafts in all (stock and upgrade). Was advised by the fitter to try and buy the equivalent shaft for the fairway wood as per the one in the driver, but if adding a hybrid then you should try to replicate your iron shafts moreso than those in the woods.

AAAAAAAAAGH I effing hate mine, It's out of the bag as soon as I can sell it. I'll never get fitted for a driver again, all I got fitted for was the driving range till.

whats wrong with it Drawboy, and why has the fitting caused the problem?

Well I am looking forward to getting my 910F as soon as it come into stock but in the mean time I have my new to me 909D2. I am going to have to say it... I put 5x 300 yard drives out there yesterday, its a mind blowing bit of kit. Lots of wind helped but I was on fire with the big stick.

I have to wonder how much better the 910 can be?
