I was on the range yesterday and the new lady pro was teaching an old biddy.

After she had finished, as she was walking past, she paused to let me play a shot, then walked off, saying two words...

"Nice swing"

Now she may be young, and glamorous, and I know the way to an old farts heart is meant to be through his stomach, but at that moment I knew what love must feel like in it's purest form.

I've had my swing likened to watching an octopus tango with a spider, but a complement ???

Nope, never had one of them before.

:o

playing golf is very much like making love to a beautiful woman.....
ideally you should have a stiff shaft and clean balls before playing around, quietness and a soft touch as you make stroke after stroke resulting in your ball going into the hole 18 times!  :D

I think you may be doing something wrong. :D

These pros like to butter up those they think they can make the most money from :D

She knows I've given my last tenner to the senior pro.

:p

So surely it must be my elegance and grace afterall.

My good looks and charm ??

:D

My rhythm and follow through ???

:o

Ok, I give up.

:(

She was definitely just trying to make you feel good. We have a lady pro at my driving range and she often has a quick look every now and then and she is the opposite. I can feel I've put a really good swing on it and she'll tell me such and such was wrong. When she does say good shot it means I've really swung well so it doesn't happen often  :D

For me playing golf is like having a morning big jobbie.

You position yourself correctly, with your weight balanced evenly on both feet, you waggle your stiff shafted big dog until it's comfortable behind your ball.

Then one massive strain, a huge grunt, and you get it all over as quick as possible, making sure you don't fall over as you complete your follow through.

Got out of a meeting early this arvo.

Popped in at the range on the way home.

It's gone.

The swing has disappeared.

The swing is dead, long live the hip-hop octopus.
