The heavy rain has done for the course today, inspection at 10.00 but course is saturated, might try and sneak in a game tomorrow morning along with the one planned with HiD on Sunday afternoon.
Sweep at 1pm today, friendly (if there's such a thing) match tomorrow, 1st qualifier isn't until April 5th.

Roll up tomorrow game and pairing the long suffering Hawkeye in the combined stableford (honours board event) on Sunday. Given the disaster I had playing 9 holes yesterday neither are filling me with confidence

Generally the two are the same. A group of golfers who just turn up and play, normally for a £ or 2.
I run a 'fiddle' which is just that, no-one plays of their full handicap some are 2 below (minimm) and others are 5 or 6 below, this helps spread the money around and at the same time we have a laugh and raise some much needed funds for charity

First weekend off of the year for me....no golf at all, other than taking to little one to his lesson tomorrow morning. Have finally had enough of getting covered in mud every week, our course hasn't been shut at all through the winter, so giving the washing machine a rest this weekend.

Working Sunday so had to fit in some range time today. The girl will want to do something tomorrow so no golf this weekend. Not complaining though as I'm planning a few rounds next week to make up for it.
