Weather is getting warmer , will have a few holes tomorrow evening , A game on sunday as we don't have medals / stablefords on sunday at the club , Monday is the roll up , teams of 3 , 2 scores to count , £3.50 in kitty and you get a drink and whats left is shared ......................EYG

Non-qualifier medal comp tomorrow morning, then hoping to go for a chipping/bunker session at the practice ground on Sunday morning whilst daughter is at theatre school.

the mrs has been making noises about the sun coming out and going to a garden centre though, so Sunday is quite unlikely........I quite enjoyed playing in the cold/wet. :p

Swindle both days. Need to post a couple of decent scores to keep at the head of our "swindlers order of merit". We're into the last month and there's a couple of folks coming up on the rails fast...

Our Junior team are off to Spain for the European championships so ill be up the club early to wave them off, hour or so working on my wedges before our usual Saturday rollup. After rounds of 82 and 75 this week im hoping for a good one.

Off to The Shire again Saturday.

Shire Breakfast; Epitome of Golfing Masochism 1st Hole; 17 other great holes; Penne Arabiata and a couple of Amstels; Perfection, even the rusty Golf isn't!

Sunday R&R then England v Wales Rugby!

No golf for me this weekend because I'm off for a week's skiing in the Alps.
There's plenty of snow & they are due to have plenty of sun ......................... bring it on!

Slime.

Picked them up and given them a whack. The swing has gone a little askew as the better posture and hip rotation bed in but happy with them. God alone knows what will happen but if its like the last round with the G25's (they must have known they were going) yesterday Hawkeye is in BIG trouble on Sunday. Truth be told I'm more concerned about whether the hedgehog wheels on my GoKart stay on. One kept sliding off yesterday.

Unfortunately not playing this weekend, been long week in work so taking kids swimming tomorrow but all going to plan I'll be taking divot jnr for his first golf lesson on Sunday afternoon . He's just turned 8 and showing a lot of interest. I wish somebody had taught me how to swing a club at that age.

Anyway, it's a good excuse for me to take the clubs a hit a few balls on range myself while we're up there .

Popping to the range this morning to see if i can rid myself of the fats which plagued me last weekend and the shanks I had yesterday at the practice ground!

Either way medal on Sunday. Been drawn with a guy I used to play with in a roll up I haven't made it to for over a year so looking forward to that if nothing else:)

Does the range help that off the mats? I travel a bit further to a range or use our practice area at the club so I can practice off grass, I found off the mats can be too forgiving!

First time out with my new irons (barring a rush round on my own last week) playing the Pro-Shop Stableford.

We had a fair bit of rain yesterday :( but the weather here is currently dry and the sun is forecast to make a show later on. :)

I know what you mean but (and especially with how bad the fats were last weekend) I would hope I can tell / be honest enough with myself to know when it's good or bad.

Hurt my foot this week so no golf for me. Was due to play in the first competition of the year as well and the weather has been dry all week!

Couldn't put any weight on my foot on Thursday but an x-Ray showed nothing broken so hoping I'll be back playing next week.

Played front nine - well 8 as remodelled 5th still not open - in the sun yesterday after work. Full round today in the sun again plus played stableford and HID only beat me by two points. Hoping for sun tomorrow again and that my golf is as good as it was today!

Had our March Monthly Medal today, the clubs first big competition of the year with 130 entrants! Tee'd off at 11:14 and was +6 thru 6 which only left me with 2 shots of my handicap left. Ended up shooting +3 for the next 12 holes! In the club house we had around 90 scores in and I had scored the 2nd Best Gross and 3rd Best Nett. What amazed me was the amount of NRs, I counted at least 20! Still plenty of players to come in though.
