Well, I'm off to Wembley on Saturday for the play off final. Little old Blackpool have defied the odds and are now just 90 mins away from the megabucks Premier League. Yes, they will probably come straight back down but straight away they will have a ground with 4 sides again! It's now or never me thinks.
UP THE POOL !!

So something other than the road out of Blackpool has done well then? :D
Good luck to them, everyone deserves a crack at the top flight of their leagues in my opinion, its character building to see if they can stick with it.

I'm sorry Fyldewhite but with a house of PNE fans I am not in a position to wish you good luck. :( :( :(
Oh go on then best of luck and you won't be the first team to go up and straight back down again. :D :D :D
(by the way I am no PNE fan and have no interest in football) :(

I can remember when Blackpool were in the First Division - used to 'support' them then, mostly because I liked their orange and black (and at six I had a thing about the Beverley Sisters (the twins) and Billy Wright played for them). Back then you could happily support a team in every division - there wasn't the vitriol then (pre-Munich I even supported Man U). It's been a long time out, so good luck to them.

My local team has made it to the 'League proper' - though by rights they should have been there a few years ago, won their league but were stopped because of the ground (if I remember correctly a former league team got back in in their place). For some odd reason they're going in as Stevenage FC instead of Stevenage Borough.

Hello from sunny South Wales, I put a little poll on the board under the title 'Getting nervous now'.

I will be there as well but hoping it's Cardiff who will get through, like you I think if it's not now for us it never will be. Holloway is a top bloke and if we weren't the opposition I would want you boys to go up.

So lets have a good day and may the best team win.

Come on you Blues

Would like to see Blackpool get there for the romance of it (straight back down though) but have nothing against Cardiff getting there (apart from some of their idiot fans) as they've played well all year and deserve their chance. I hope its as entertaining as most championship play-off finals seem to have been recently

Well done Blackpool but.......

I really don't agree with the play-offs. Never have. Forest finished 9 points clear of 'pool this season. But they don't go up because they have exchanged the league for a knock-out cup. I know its to produce drama and revenue and days out to Wembley but it doesn't reward the team that plays better over the season. Forest won 3 more games than Blackpool and as they finished higher in the league, it means they played better over the 10 months and as such should go up. It leaves open a chance for a team finishing a dozen or more points behind to potentially go up - not right in my eyes.

Cracking first half but have to agree that the play-offs are a lottery, best 2 should be promoted, end off. we do it up here now but only 1 gets into the SPL with no play off :D
ps - well done to blackpool though and hope they stay up.

Well done Blackpool from a very dissapointed Cardiff fan.

The best team on the day won, we just couldn't get control of the ball and that was down to your hard work. There was some school boy defending from us but I can't complain.

Had some good laughs with lots of your fans in the pub in Kingsbury before the game.

Enjoy next season and lets hope you can stay up.

Totally agree. League promotions should be on merit only over the course of the season.

Cheers mate. Fantastic weekend, the whole town is in a daze and the lucky tangerine socks I wore made the difference :D Open top bus etc tomorrow. Thought Cardiff were a bit unlucky especially with the early injury but I think you will be up there again.

Won't be losing any sleep over Forest, we beat them 4 times this season, everyone knows the rules at the start and the drama of the play-offs is the one thing the top clubs and there fans never experience. Long may they continue.
