There have been threads on how good is Westy. There have been threads on how poor is Leftie.

And then I see a thread about Poulter.

And what is it all about?

What he's wearing on his wrist ffs.

That's typical of what he is all about, I know, but I just wanted to comment on how much of a contribution I think he has made to the team so far this year.

Apart from playing well himself, in his post match interviews he has made a huge deal about how well his partners have been playing, and how important they have been to the team.

For someone who has been proven to be such an egotistical, self centred twonk in the past, I think it is testimony to the man himself that he is willing to minimise the importance his own contribution for the sake of building team morale.

He's definitely gone up in my estimation at least.

Not enough to buy one of his stupid bracelet's mind.

But I offer up a hearty 'well played' to the young man.

I'm not a great fan of Poulter but you've got to admire his passion when he plays in the RC.
He always wants to do them and doesn't have a problem letting them know..

but are these bracelets just a mind thing.

Nope, well they work for me, I'm sure someone else will be along to say they are all in the mind, but having a bad wrist for years (broke it in 6 places 15yrs ago)I find it helps no end.

Without it I can play 18 but boy O boy do I know it.

I think Poults is great. A few more of his type would help to dispell the myth that golf is for stuffy, curmudgeonly old fuddyduddies...

Anything that attracts new people into the sport is A Good Thing in my book.

I think he's great. The new Mr Ryder Cup. A solid performance this tournament as in the last one.

He gets slated regularly for his ego and over confidence. He does back up his comments with excellent play. He's one of golfs characters who always respects other players.

Big up to him.

I said last night that I would have put Poulter out first due to his self belief and ability. I think he had the arrogance and ability to shot from the hip and get that crucial first point on the board!

Shoo-in for a future Captain.

I don't even mind if he designs their kit!

Deffo need to be passed by some team mambers for teh ok first tho.

IMHO Poults is simply fantastic - he dresses smart (well most of the time), talks the talkwalks the walk and he inspires many young-uns. I have never seen him yack, swear or bash the club into the ground in temper - all of which we see Tiger do.

Poulter is class - simples.

This may have happened in the past, can't remember, but can you imagine Poults and an in form Garcia in the same pairing? That would be something.

Ian Poulter can wear what he likes now, he's certainly proved he has the game.

Inspirational - great to see!

Golfmmad.

And, my God, he removes his cap when shaking hands at the end of a match. What's the world coming to?

Take note, Dodger.
