The putter that made you confident!?

Scotty Cameron circa 62 #3

I do not like plumber neck putters but they are good for me. This putter is good on long and short putts and is my baby.

The putter that made me confident is:

The Oddessy Marxman Mini.

I've also read Putting Out of Your Mind by Bob Rotella which helped tremendously too.

the one in my sig has been my mainstay for over 10 years.

Had a couple of dabbles with others, but always returned to this one.

Like its owner, pretty fugly, but, perhaps unlike its owner, very effective!

looked in garage last night- found my old Ping Pal from a zillion years ago, tiny head. It will be regripped and in the bag for games this weekend

A lot of shouts for the Ping Anser, there's one for sale on here. I'm not really getting on with my putter, would it be worth buying?
Depends on your putting stroke. I used to have a Ping Anser, but I couldn't get on with it nearly as well as the marxman mini.

Will have to re read bob rotella!
Think ill go in and have a lesson and a go with a few (spider ESP) mentioned here. Gotta find something to banish the woes - by my reckoning the putter is costing me 4 shots a round.
The one I don't trust at the mo is an anser style btw.

Odyssey #5 centre shaft, due its 4th grip soon. My putting average last year was just over 28, and had a low round of 20 putts. I have dallied twice in the time I've had it but, in truth, they were just one night stands.

Will have to re read bob rotella!
Try this too, Andy: when you're putting, don't look up at the hole once you've hit the ball. Listen for it dropping into the cup, keeping your eyes on the spot where the ball was. If it misses, then you'll read the line again on the way back anyway, so seeing where it misses can be counter-productive (you see it miss, so you feel your putting is bad).

That was a tip from Gary Player at Golf Live, and it really worked for me when I was struggling.
