Well me and Maisie, my putter, have a bit of a problem in our relationship. I have come to question her every move and nuance, worst of all, all the trust has departed our sphere of love. Now, because she has done the dirty on me I feel justified in pursuing a confidence building affair with another. Maisie is a scotty 2.5 Newport (short offset neck) and I was wondering who has found confidence in a bigger model and which one. Worry about alignment most!

Currently putting better than I ever have with a Scotty Cameron Newport with no alignment aid at all. Not much help to you I suppose, sorry.
My mate is deadly with an odyssey metal x #7. I've had a #7 before and couldn't get on with it.

It's pretty personal I think.

The new Ping Ketsch is getting rave reviews.

My current Odyssey, from the first stroke I've loved it, I've always liked the design of them so just waited until they went on sale. The head inspires a lot of confidence

Had trust issues with my Odyssey #9 but we've been to counselling and reconciled our differences. Putted nicely at the Grove yesterday and holed out well. The trouble with putting is it is so personal so choosing a putter to suit is purely down to the individual and trying as many models as you can, ideally on grass

A little tip.

I had a great relationship for 3 years with a previous putter, had a bad 3 months then sold it. 3 years of various putters and fittings and just bought the same one on Ebay again.

Tuck her into a cupboard, keep her nice and warm, look in on her and offer a few sweet words now and again.
She may be required again.

40 odd year old Ping Anser. Got it out the loft when I started playing again 10 months ago after a 20 year gap. 27 putts yesterday, so the romance remains alive.

I thought it was my Scotty Del Mar that's been in the bag for 2+ years now.

If my I'm suitably impressed tomorrow lunch time, the Del Mar may be in the For Sale section on here soon after!!

an old odyssey 2 ball off ebay for 14 quid inc postage was my first love, and then a friend bought a scotty go lo brand new and 3 weeks later decided it wasnt for him. I tried it and fell in love instantly with it.

2 years on it is still my best friend and is close to kicking the wife out of bed.
