There has been a few post recently about tempo and angles of swings etc and it had me thinking!!

I dont think there is anyone anywhere that can claim to have the perfect swing, IMO it is just what works best for the individual.

Who has the perfect swing does anyone have the perfect swing is there such a thing as a perfect swing???

Wilso......na only kidding! :D

Plenty have 'nice' swings as in nice on the eye but the most perfect one has to be either Fuyrk or Darcy. :D

Rory has a great well balanced one.

I'm not looking for a perfect swing but one with less moving parts that is more reliable. Its getting there and with some serious work over the winter the tinkerman will probably be happy (until I start on the short game!)

Funny you mention that. I saw a 'slow mo' of Furyks swing the other week and actually from a foot short of impact to a foot after impact his swing is absolutely spot on. Just a shame he has all that swatting flies motion going on either end of it :D :D

No. Having said that, a lot of folk are damn close.
If someone ever had a perfect swing that repeated every time, then they'd never hit a bad ball.....which as we know, is impossible. Or not?

I don't know enough about what makes a swing technically good to judge, but the swing that I like the look of most is Ernie Els.

Steve Stricker has a nice simple swing, always liked Monty for his iron striking. Gotta love Ernie's tempo - he could go for a cuppa on his backswing, lubbly :)

I like Goosens swing. Always seems in complete control.
Another lovely swing that I always admired was Ian Baker Finch's.
Just a shame his game went tits up 'cos he seemed a nice guy.

What I cannot fathom is the amount of rotation Tiger generates on his back swing with minimal movement below the waist. His left arm is blinking vertical!

Watched a clip of his swing slowed down on the t'internet and when his hands are approaching impact position the club is still at a 90 degree angle. How the hell does he control that!!!

Must agree with other posters though Els' swing is a thing of beauty.

I really dont believe it matters what it look likes , it's what impact position you get into that matters.

There are plenty of pros out there who have lovely 'tempo' and some that appear to give it a right wallop , whatever gets you to the best impact spot is a good swing imo

Faldo circa 1992. It doesn't get much better than that. Someone mentioned Goosen earlier, that guy's got fantastic rhythmn but he hits some really wild shots every so often that seem to come out of nowhere.

Perfect swing - Sam Snead.

Best of the modern era in my view - Els, Goosen and Elkington.

All lovely to watch.

Frank Nobilo's swing was really good to look at, as was Howard Clarkes I used to logve the way Seve used his hands but to me the best swing I have ever seen is Tigers in 2000 (sorry it just is) so athletic so simple the best ever IMHO.
