That has got to be the best golf i have ever seen! it has had both myself and Mrs hooked over this weekend, so much so she now wants to start playing!!!

The trophy is back in Europe hopefully to stay!

Best Major (nay, tournament) of the year by a mile on the best course! Felt gutted for Sergio but Padraig played magnificently all day. Well done.

Compulsive viewing !! Couldn't even bring myself to leave the sofa for the last 3 hours. A few missed putts here and there and it could have one either way. Gutted for Sergio , made up for Harrington and McIlroy, let not forget Romero's charge at the end...He was only one shot away from the playoff !

I agree with everyone, it was fantasy golf. But, I started the day wishing Sergio would win it but when Padraig got to -9 I was rooting for him, in the end I had to lie down in a dark room cos I was an emotional wreck ;0)

And everybody should put a tenner on Wee Rory winning it in the next 7 years. He was feerless, a breath of fresh air to the game.

The only low point for me was Romero getting 3rd ! Won a grand on him last year for top ten and was too skint the week before this year's Open to do the same again. Been betting on him regularly for the last year.

As the Pro's all say.....it's all in the timing !?!?
