The Open 2025.

New poster, just wanted to ask the question, is this guy more dominant than Tiger was? The skill gap between him and the rest of them is ridiculous

You can only dominate who you're up against. Tiger had the likes of Els and Mickleson who were pretty damn good.
Scheffler is very impressive but we'll have to wait a few years before we can begin to compare him with Tiger.

Not sure tiger would dominate this much if he was up against Rory, Bryson etc. Either way it's impressive
Well, he finished -19 in the 2000 Open (just randomly looked at that year). I'm not sure if Rory or Bryson were playing back then, they'd be shooting a score to challenge that

Portrush hadnt looked too windy this year. If a prime Tiger had been playing this week, I think the chances are high he would be unbelievable

Too young to remember prime tiger really. When there is a load bunched on -8 to -10 but the world number 1 is 7 shots clear of the field? Scary thing is that he's only about 28. Could be a boring decade to come

It's obviously a very long shot but if he keeps up this pace and doesn't mess around with knives then, in 10 years, Jack's number could be reachable.
I think it unlikely but the guy is a machine.

Yeah but let’s not forget tiger was physically superior to the field back then and also jumped onto the 2 piece ball Before others that season

That statement reminds me of what Tiger did on numerous occasions.

Tiger had his personal issues and injury problems though. Assuming Scheffler stays fit and healthy into his 40's, he could certainly smash career record wins I reckon. Doesn't look like it is just a purple patch, when some golfers are great for a year or two, then fade away.

He’s just making everything and not giving anyone a sniff, even if Rory had holed all of his close putts he’d still be 3 behind!
