The Open 2025.

There's no question he's going to have to help if anyone is going to catch him. However, there are few that can do it. I just hope someone makes a run so we can have some drama. Rahm had a flurry at the PGA that made the final round a little more interesting.

I always get a little depressed after the Sunday round of The Open. I know there is still The FedEx Cup and The Ryder Cup in a few weeks (or months)but they don't excite me like the majors. The Ryder Cup is especially hard for me because although I live in the colonies, I like the European players better. This all started way back when Seve was playing. It carried on with Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood and now Rory, Viktor Hovland and Aberg are my favorites. Also, my wife really like Fleetwood and Rose.
Try as I might I just cannot pull against the Euros.

Spent the day at portrush with my pal who isn't a golfer but wanted to experience the day.

Seen Rickie tee off on the first then headed to the stands behind 13. Sat down 3 rows from the front. First shot. Parry knocks in a hole in one. Amazing buzz.
Worked our way around the outside of the course. Sat up on the hill above the 8th. Could see the drive off 7. Approach shot. Drive on 8. Approach and the green maybe 15 behind us. Sat and waiting for rory to come through. Seen my first pro shank live. Thanks Justin 😄. Shame as he was flying up till then.
Worked our way round to 5 then along the back and seen rory again on 11. Directly across from him with the ball popping out of the ground.
Had a pizza, seen gotterup roll in an Eagle. Checked out 18 then hit the road.
Seemless Park and ride system and home to catch the BBC highlights.
Great day out 😀

Am with orikoru.... Scheffler looks like he hasn't got out of 2nd gear and still too good for everyone else.... He just doesn't look like he is capable of hitting bogeys... He is so solid....
No wonder they take circa 5hrs + to play 18 tho... Watched him flaff about on 18 when he got to the green.... Thought to myself.. Hurry the hell up... 1min 40 odd sec from marking the ball to putting.... We would get lynched if we done that...

Does confirm the point really; just one bogey per round around that place is insanely good.
When I've watched there have been so many times that Scheffler has hit a non-ideal or even scruffy shot; missing fairways or greens, and you think to yourself he's going to drop a shot now and bring the field back into it ... and you come back to him a couple of minutes later just as he's standing over a stress-free 2 ft par putt. It's like witchcraft.
