THE MASTERS - Champions dinner menu

Do the all have to eat that?
What happened when Lyle won the Masters? Did they eat Haggis?!
If I was a pro I reckon I'd hate all the pomp that goes with these kind of events, but I guess the players are there to represent their sponsors, so have to put in the hours off the course.

I think I'd start with a nice quails egg salad with roasted asparagus tips followed by a roasted Scottish salmon in a fennel and dill dressing. For red meat it would be a full English roast. White meat would be a chicken breast cooked in foil bags with lemon, dill, mixed mushrooms and served on a bed of rocket with creamed carrots and leek. Dessert would be a rhubard and cinnamon compote. Wine would be a nice shiraz or a californian semellion

Mine would be as follows:

Starter: Goats cheese and roasted red pepper tart

Main red meat: Duck breast (served pink) with greens and soy dressing.

Main white meat: Chicken and asparagus, white wine sauce.

Dessert: Strawberry cheesecake

Wine: Chilean shiraz.

after typing all that i'm starving :D

Mine would be...

Mozarella and Parma Ham starter with Grilled spanish sausage

Half a lobster with spaghetti in a spicy bolognese sauce.

Creme Braule (sp.) for dessert

Port with cheese and biscuits

Would start with a quail egg and black pudding salad.

Main course, steak and ale pie (or pudding) with jacket spuds.

Desert apple tart with stilton ice cream

Followed by a full cheese board and port.

Mine would be a mixed bag with a choice of starter of either:
Irish Stew or Aromatic crispy duck with pancakes, hoi-sin sauce, cucumber and spring onions....Or both!

Main Course would be a 14oz Sirloin with garlic butter sat on a whopping bed of caramelised or tobacco onions and a choice of garlic sautees or champ.

Dessert would be Baileys cheesecake and half fresh cream and ice cream.

Dinner time in the Brendy household, Im off out for a chippy, this has made me hungry.

Starter: Welsh rarebit bites (it's not just cheese on toast)

Main red meat: Loin of Welsh Lamb, Dauphinoise potato, baby vegetables, in a port and rosemary sauce.

Main White meat : Pan Roasted Chicken Breast, Potato galette, fricassee of bacon, wild mushroom and red wine ragout.

Fish: Oven Roasted Sea Bass Fillet, Fondant potato, sauteed garlic spinach, wild mushrooms and saffron cream sauce.

Dessert: Barra Brith (Welsh fruit loaf) my wifes recipe, with butter or brandy cream.

I have eaten all of these main dishes and each one is as good as the others. :p

Soup in a basket.

Garlic bread and ice cream.

Beans ala toast.

neeps and custard.

Then lets see how well they play

Choice of starters---Soup or Aromatic Duck

Choice of mains------Grilled Swordfish with potatoes and seasonal vegatables or Irish Stew.

Choice of Desserts----Pavlova or Ice Cream and Jelly.

When do they have it ?
If it's the night before the first round I would have...

Starter - Half a dozen oysters
Main - Chicken Vindaloo or Phaal
Pud - anything with uncooked egg and plenty of cream in it.
Washed down with plenty of Guinness

That should wipe out a few of the challengers ;)
