As we are still in the grip of the 'thing', those who like camping, canoeing and generally being outdoors might get their 'fix' from Youtube.

Below is a link to a lovely couple from Canada who film their adventures in and around Algonquin Park.
The music and photography are beautifully done and as Chris says in one of their videos, 'the world needs more of this'.
So if you're into triathalon, climbing, skiing and most things outdoor, give them a look.

I would hazard a guess that those that like camping, canoeing and the great outdoors aren't getting their fix watching telly, pretty sure they'll be outside camping canoeing and enjoying the great outdoors ?‍♂️?

Maybe some have lost their job and can't afford it.
Maybe some are self isolated.
Maybe some can't get time off work
Maybe everything is booked solid since opening again
Maybe some are still on furlough.
Maybe some can't get to Algonquin Park, Canada.

Or maybe everything just has to be an argument.

Oh no it doesn't !!!!

Actually Bob, I really appreciated the post. It took me back to my Scouting days when we would spend a week or two doing just those things although with the canoeing not quite in such glorious surroundings. Thames twice, Wye, Luxembourg, Black Forest ...... (y)

My lads were in the scouts and the week end they most enjoyed was known as the "wet one"... Camp was near the Thames, in Marlow, and they'd return home absolutely cream crackered but beaming and bursting with enthusiasm...

Thanks for the post. It took me right back there. I've actually canoed in those very same lakes, although not camping, and it is a wonderful place.

I know it looks empty on the video but I guess the 2 girls avoid the busy periods/holidays.
It must be great to have 1.89 million acres to play in.
Just to escape all the modern day distractions for a while must be great.
Peace and quiet and a loved one to share the time together.

I guess if you like hustle and bustle, lots of people, noisey bars/discos and polluted cities, then their videos aren't for you.

The countryside is just amazing. Some of it proper wild stuff where you have to watch out for bears. There are some walks that are sort of marked and you can see if you walk off track you'll get lost as the forests are vast.
Also, you can ice skate on the same lakes in the winter. I just love the wilderness of Canada.
Would have loved to live there but the thought of no golf for almost six months of the year, kind of puts me off:eek:

Our Senior Scout Master banned transistor radios and buying newspapers on our "expeditions". Just didn't want to know what was happening in the rest of the world.

They found some of these scout who lost their way... they wanted to know if the War was over before they would come out of their hiding spot
