OK its been a long day and I've had 26 Finnish nurses sitting on my desk so I am slightly distracted. Putters aren't included.

I'm off for a cold shower (and before the missus asks about these hot flushes!!!)

Atticus, tiger does not use nike irons, he just uses thier name, tigers irons are the mizuno blades the very same one,s used by faldo when he was in his prime, he bought the patent of mizuno years ago thats why they stoped producing that model.

I will not believe that in a million years. Thats like the rumor that John Daly was too strong to use the Wilson Firestick shaft and they painted his steel shafts to make it look like a firestick!!!

Just replaced the irons in my bag with a lovely set of Mizuno's. Only used them once down the range. First impressions favourable. You get a lot of height with them hopefully not to the cost of distance. Early days yet though, can't wait to christen them on the course!

At the moment i can't see the need to change any club in the bag. The best thing about this lot is that they all have neutral faces.
Callaway X460tour driver
Taylormade v steel and old burner 3+5 woods
Titleist 905 19 rescue
Mizuno mp 60 irons
mizuno mpr series 56deg
cleveland 588 60dsg
Ping redwood anser.

just changed my driver to cleveland highbore xl after having a complete fall out with my cobra f speed [hitting everything except the fairway]

and have been using benross vx combo irons since march cant fault them very good club for the money

In the bag :

Driver- M Golf 350cc titanium
Fairway woods 3&5 - Mizuno MP001
Irons 3 to P- Wilson Staff Pi5
Wedges- Titleist Vokey 52 degree
Wilson Staff Lob 58 degree/12 bounce
Putter- Taylor Made Rossa Lambeau 7 cgb
Balls- Titleist NXT Tour

as with Parmo, slowly replacing the Ben Sayers package set.
Woods have gone to be replaced by TM. Irons next - most likely Orka. Putter - probably Ping. Haven't decided what to do about the hybrids yet and my mate has a little 7-wood that I can try out when he gets back from the desert.

Balls - Warbirds and Wilson Deep Reds (trying them out)

Tiger uses blades forged by Miura (or maybe Endo) which are stamped with the nike Swoosh, hence the reason you can't buy a set from Nike.

as for tiger i dont know but this type of thing goes on in all sports, stars will say they use one make for the cash but in reallity it is something else they are using.

some footballers get boots made to look like other boots, some fishermen use x type of rod for publicity photo's but when they are fishing they use something else(this i have seen).
out of al the manufacturers in golf are you telling me that nike make the best clubs? If they are nikes i would put any amount on it that tigers clubs are not any nike design or probably not even made by nike but for nike.

As for the daly being to strong for his clubs so they had to be changed, well jack nicklaus had to get his driver's specially made (when they where made of wood) instead of two screw's holding the metal face plate on the driver he had to get a thicker face plate glued and held on with 4 or 5 screws to try and stop him smashing the face of his drivers, O and he still managed to break 9 (if i remember right) of these toughened up drivers in one year. this is fact unless you want to accuse nicklaus of telling prok pies on international tv.

I noticed that on Monty's site. Within his "in the bag" section he claims to use the Yonex putter (obviously had to as main club supplier) but at the time I think he was back using an odyssey belly putter then had a spell with a Yes! putter. Never got to see enough of him today to see what it was he was using. He might be using the Yonex but certainly wasnt for a long spell last season when that info was still published. Geronimo's right - probably happens in every sport.

I remember when Westwood was toiling at the Scottish Open in 2000 he was asked why his sponsor was Ping yet he used a Titleist driver and he replied that if he used the Ping driver he, his Ping skip, Ping Bag and Ping towel would be heading home on Thursday night but with the Titleist (under a Ping headcover) he made the cut.
