Living in Nottinghamshire and listening to the tricky trees fans. One moan that keeps Coming up is EDU. They think he has wasted money and the club has gone backwards.

I would hope that a manager would get more support from an owner or board than Dyche and Nuno received.
I would be asking a lot more questions of some of the players this season rather than the numerous managers.
I’m reluctant to blame Marinakis but I would like to see us with a settled manager and players who look like they’re having to compete for a place on the teamsheet.

Do you think the chairman expected a similar or even better season this year from last?
With the extra games in Europe and I think most fans would agree the unexpected season last year that seemed a really tall order for any manager if that was the case
 
I guess Dyche would have stayed had Forest won last night. But, with 30 shots, a high xG and missing a 6 on 1, the owner felt it was time for Dyche to go. Seems harsh. A mate just text to say that if Syche had been manager all season, on a points per game basis, Forest would be 11th (probably higher as other teams would drop points to Forest). Shearer and Murphy on MOTD felt it would be crazy if he was sacked on MOTD last night, next morning he is gone. Is there a better manager at the moment to help them in the relegation battle?

A few owners may love watching The Apprentice, and with the new season now on, they start feeling the "You're Fired" vibe. Did the Forest owner see Nuno starting to do well at West Ham, seen them creep closer, and have a panic to push him towards sacking Dyche? It is hard to tell whether the owner of Forest will cause their downfall quicker than he managed to elevate them to begin with.
 
Ave said this before about Dyche. A midfield of Gibbs, Anderson and Mcatee should on paper look outstanding. I honestly don’t think they have been given an opportunity to even try.

Tash, you’ve got to look at what Dyche inherited and why he was brought in, saying they’ve got X, Y & Z in a team and look outstanfing is irrelevant, Forest as a club have been a basket case this season.

They have but Gibbs and Anderson were already there. They brought in Macatee to enhance that midfield. For me Forest had the foundations of a good team. And added to it. But they have gone backwards

The team was unsettled before a ball was kicked, rumours around Gibbs-White being sold, Anderson injured and a manager merry go round, it has to affect confidence and Dyche wasn’t going to suddenly changed the way he’s always managed.

This season they just needed stability to get it behind them and start again next season.
 
The record number of managers a PL club has had in a season is FOUR. This is:

Newcastle (08/09): Keegan, Hughton (interim), Kinnear, Shearer

Forest are about to match that. However, given Hughton was an interim and Kinnear left after needing a heart bypass operation, then I think Forest are ahead of Newcastle on goal difference in this record.

McAtee has done next to nothing to show he is anywhere near good enough

Last season they spent most of the time having a solid three of

Gibbs-White , Dominguez and Anderson

And it was a very good midfield

This season Sangare is playing a bit more

McAtee was prob another Edu signing and there is a reason why he doesn’t play

Forest issues are with the front 3

Wood out injured

the replacement for Elanga hasn’t really impressed

The forward Jesus hasn’t scored enough to fill the Wood hole

And Hudson Odoi has been below par

McAtee is someone that plays in the some role as Gibbs White


And he is prob a championship player ar best

Last season, Chris Wood scored 20 goals. This season he has scored 2, and is joint top scorer amongst their strikers. Gibbs White is by far their top scorer, with 6. Forest scored 58 last season, conceded 46. So far this season, they've only scored 25 and conceded 38.

I don't watch Forest in detail, but it seems midfield is not really their issue. Anderson must still have impressed enough to consistenly get called up for England? However, it seems that their biggest problem is their forward line up, and perhaps weaker at the back as well?

I noticed that. Although in fairness, was there a better replacement on the bench? Maybe Chiesa? The rest of the bench, outside Jones who plays a different position, looked very weak.

I think Liverpool would have done very well had they managed to get both Semenyo and Guehi over the last 2 transfer windows
