So just cups then

And it was a stick that was used to beat us for 30 years when we were only winning cup and not titles ( apart from a CL )

They haven’t even made what anyone would say was a serious challenge

How long can a club keep trying to rest on past history , the stature of the club as each year goes by will be taking a hit

The name can only go so far and it’s something we only know too well

If they could get a top manager then they would have done before they got - ETH or Amorin
They’ve also in that period finished runners-up twice and third twice, so in a period dominated by one Club, that’s not bad.

We heard often enough how if it wasn’t for City how many PL titles yous would of won, is it not the same rules for them?

And the reason yous only know too well is because yous went 30yrs without the PL whilst still claiming to be one of the biggest in the world.

Got to find someone to settle things down and build

For Amorim’s faults, they still had someone who was trying to do just that. He was rooting out the bad, and he had a plan. It matters not whether that plan was right or wrong, the club invested in it. And then tore it up when, having decided to wade in and question Amorim’s liking for his system, Wilcox then took exception to his ego being bruised when his manager gave him a public bloody nose.

Amorim played it poorly. I don’t doubt he saw his time was up after the now infamous meeting, and merely decided to hasten his own departure by calling the hierarchy out after the Leeds game.

If ever there was any doubt whether it was managers or the hierarchy who were the problem, Amorim’s sacking must surely answer the question. The thinking of those who sit above the manager has been laid bare for all to see - they simply don’t have a clue.

Nothing will change until either the Glazer family and certain individuals within the Ineos set-up are gone, or they have surrounded themselves with the yes men they seem to crave, so that they can ruin the club completely.

I’m still angry. And so are a lot of fans judging by the number of tickets I have managed to secure at short notice. Games which have been sold out for months are now seeing tickets being returned.

Changing the subject: Not Political:

Did anyone see the announcement from Trump yesterday banning Visa applications from 15 competing nations in this year World Cup?

Surely they’ll have to give exemptions.🤷‍♂️

We only saw/heard Amorim’s explosion. Someone at that level in a high pressure environment doesn’t move to nuclear at the first instance. I dare say there’s a fair bit of build up to that explosion. Utd are looking the best they have for a good few years, and that includes moving out the dead wood, the big change being a manager who has stepped up to make the hard decisions.

I don’t know anything about Utd’s infrastructure, nor if Amorim was too difficult to work with but it wasn’t Amorim’s first rodeo. If Utd’s director of football is going to sack everyone that bites back, he’s going to get through a good few managers.

Seems a lot of devil in the detail with exemptions for sports

It’s only applying to immigration visas

But Iran and Haiti do have full bans

Grapevine here saying “ Liverpool won’t go over the £250K a week”

So he’s entitled to go where he likes.
The reported £300k pw sounds excessive.
But you’ve got to factor in that City have got a £60m+ player for £20m.

When you think that Liverpool have just handed VVD a new contract worth £350k pw at 35yr of age,& he’s been awful this season 🤷‍♂️

Imho the manager hasn’t got the appeal of the likes of Pep. ( or the 💴 money.)😂

Some players will come some won’t.
Some their wives don’t want to live in certain cities Manchester is a big draw .
Transport home to see family etc.
So it’s not just about football there are lots of reasons we don’t know.

Bit disappointed we missed him but good luck to the lad 👍

But just think we have a back up plan ,or I hope we do 😳

Last sentence, totally agree with. Sometimes fans get so wrapped up in there clubs being massive because they were. As we all know football was invented when the premier league started 🤔
Teams like Huddersfield who won three in a row are they still massive, as are “The Wednesday” and Preston North End. Am certainly not dissing these teams or Ipswich, Derby or Burnley who both had the same amount of titles as City had before Sheik Mansoor turned up with his wallet.
But times change. Some fans blinkered views don’t. 👍

Talk seems to be that the club didn’t seem him as value at the wages and costs etc

It’s very risky to go through the rest of the season with just the two main CBs

Guess the rest of the season will be trying to sort out a contract for Konate
