Why would Utd go for a relatively unproven manager…again?

One of the biggest Clubs in the World should be pulling out all the stops to bring in a world class manager and stop messing about.

Who are the world class managers that can be got these days ?

There isn’t many

Glasner has done very well in his career so far , improved every team he has taken over from and might well be the exact type of manager for them

I think there’s 4 things at play here.

1) Understandably, fans put more emphasis on past histories.
2) Calm heads in the business aren’t that interested in going to a club that could break them.
3) Maybe the club can no longer afford the very best.
4) Players are reluctant to go to clubs that aren’t in the CL - maybe managers feel the same.

Was Gueho to Liverpool a sure fire deal like Bellingham was!? Has he actually just agreed to go to City for a measley £20 million?

That has got to hurt. Perhaps Liverpool can no longer shop for the best players like Man Utd, as recent evidence suggests they destroy the best players. :ROFLMAO:

£300k a week fee rising to £30mil plus the player getting a big lump sum as well

City offering him the wages he might have got for a free transfer in the summer

Puts him amongst the highest paid defenders in football

People said that Guehi would have been devestated that Palace didn't let him leave last summer. At the time I question, why!?

The outcome, he avoided going to a club that has experienced a massive decline this season, and he only needed to wait another half a season to go to a better football team and probably earn significantly more money. Palace refusing to sell him to Liverpool is possibly the greatest thing that has ever happened to him.

The funny thing is, Isak was a rat, and look at his performances since. Guehi was a model professional, and look at him now. The nice guy looks to have come out on top

But maybe Liverpool would have played better with Guehi in the side. Who knows what would've happened, it's only guesswork.

City have signed Guehi,Semenyo & Cherki for about the same price as Liverpool paid for Isaak 😬

But Liverpool get everything spot on 😆

A lot of anyone who can be classed as a top manager won’t imo touch Man Utd at the moment because of the mess they are in

Getting someone in who has shown he can improve what’s already at a team is the first step to sort out a foundation
