Carrick at the Boro;

Started very well, but injuries definitely didn’t help. Entertaining football but, equally, frustrating with kids having to go on when key players were out.

The negatives, perhaps unfairly. Seemed very slow to react to what the other managers would do. Very slow to bring on subs - sometimes games or individuals cried out for change but if it happened, it happened far too late too often. His in-game management was often criticised.

Seemed to be a rigid one tick pony that other managers found out. Why the fallout so late after the season finished? It’s all just whispers but the end of season review asked a number of searching questions. Rumour has it he refused to change.

For me, I’d have liked to see him stay but get the boot in November if things didn’t improve. I felt he deserved another transfer window, although it was rumoured that there’d been big disagreements over summer transfers. Sadly, he’d lost the majority of the fans by the end of the season.

Seems the ideal man for United then Bri.

I mean, if he is offside, he isn't impacting goalkeeper. But, in fairness, he is impacting the defender. If Haaland wasn't there, defender might have been able to put a boot to ball
