There are probably numerous people. You get people liasing between security and players. I guess you need to make sure you note who leaves and who enters the pitch from tunnel, and that everyone is accounted for
I think they are also in touch with head stewards/first aiders etc all around the ground watching out for pitch invaders, people becoming unwell and alike.

It’s probably because of where they stand you see them on camera sometimes

Time to get up from the floor. First of all, fantastic performance from Macclesfield and they 100% deserved the win, they were brilliant.

We however could not have been worse. Typical spoilt PL player performance from everyone of them, shameful and also surprising considering the character our side normally shows and our manager demands.

Typical Palace, 6 months between our best ever day and arguably our worst ever result! Interested to see how we bounce back.

As for the Brighton stick, you keep laughing but remember you have never seen your side win anything ever. May 17 2025 is the thorn in your side you will never remove.

As for the Forest joy at our lose, apparently there is a chance we can still remain in the cup. Our Chairman has taken to follow your behaviour and the FA are looking into an official complaint and a demand for a replay from CPFC that one of the plumbers in midfield for Macclesfield isn't gas safe registered. 🤣

Not only a non-league side, but one that is ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN places below them, whilst being cup holders, no less.

I thought a narrow penalty shootout loss to Hollywood FC was bad but this is much, much worse.

(Also, I think you’ll beat United tomorrow)
Is it the biggest upset ever ? Current FA cup winners against Non League?

Nostalgia,or was football just better back then?
Michael Ballack had that to say about VVD. Again was the players better back then 🤔

“Virgil Van Dijk is very lucky to play in an era where there is no Drogba, Lampard, Alan Shearer, Henry, Rooney, Van Persie, Tevez, Adebayor and Diego Costa in the Premier League. No wonder they think he is the best defender in the League”.

At least they made a fist of it in the second half.
That second half performance was long overdue, where has that pride and fight been all season, just shows you if the players play like that the fans will get behind you.
Spurs have one of the biggest traveling support in the league true hardcore fans and these fans have had enough and it won’t be long before Frank has gone.

Apparently so.
It is if measured by league positions between the clubs.

I do, however, feel that non league football is far more "professional" than it was in the 70's and 80's when I remember watching teams who appeared to be far more lowly than Macclesfield, both in terms of ground, facilities, fitness, etc.

Saying that, you could argue that Premier League football has also moved up from those heady days when the FA cup meant a lot more. Back then the FA cup also ensured the top teams played their strongest side.

Not taking anything away from Macclesfield though, it was an incredible performance and will ensure they are in the history books forever.

Do Macclesfield play on a plastic pitch? The clips I saw, that looked the case. Did that impact? It's quite a difference.
They do play on a artificial pitch but as was said in commentary, palace would train on something similar day in day out so it shouldn’t have been a problem as for what I saw it wasn’t. Palace were just out fought. As commentators like to say, one team wanted it more

The pitch had no effect on it. They ran around like their lives depended on it, we turned up as if life owed us something.
