It’s when the ball is actually played he looks off for me.
I’d rather the goal was given in all games when it’s like this, but there lies the problem 😂😂

Apparently the line for the Fulham goal is drawn wrong as well ? Should be on the armpit but was drawn on the elbow 🤷‍♂️

Good solid performance from The Toon today. At times it looked like Palaces energy and pressing game would cause us problems, similar to what we experienced in the 2nd half at Burnley, but, as it turned out, we largely stifled them and clear cut chances for the Eagles were, with a single exception, not forthcoming. Two first half disallowed (rightly) goals hinted at our threat and once we gained proper control of the game midway through the 2nd half there was really little doubt as to the eventual outcome...only natural pessimism borne of watching Newcastle throw points away this season cast shadows over the likely outcome.

A week or so ago I'd have happily said if there was interest in the January window in Joelinton from Saudi Arabia, and that interest resulted in an offer in excess of £30m, then we should probably take it. On the wrong side of 30 and some uninspiring recent performances where he looked as likely to be carded as provide a positive contribution leading me to this thought. However two towering performances in the last couple of games has given me pause for thought and perhaps £50m might be a more suitable figure.

Fantastic to also see Livramento back...offers so much more than just his defensive qualities and we are a better team in transition with him available. Also Trippier and Botman were back on the bench so perhaps some of our defensive injury worries are slowly easing. Miley's influence is growing with every game even playing in an un-natural position of right back...will be great to see him back in midfield now that Livramento is back but knowing that Miley can do a job at right back if needed. Malick Thiaw is a player who continues ti impress game by game...maybe not a Rolls Royce of a defender but certainly a Mercedes. Lewis Hall continues to do what Lewis Hall does and will surely already be a name on Tuchels squad list for the World Cup.

January transfer window is now open and frankly I'd love us to go back to Forest and offer them 70m to get Anderson back and, although he doesn't fit with our alleged age profile for new signings, i think a 30m offer to doomed West Ham for Jarrod Bowen could be money well spent as he offers a genuine goal threat that perhaps our current right sided players dont.

Home to Leeds on Wednesday...wont be easy but hopefully the team is slowly gaining confidence and another 3 points would really cement our place back in the top half of the table.

Draw the line on the Liverpool players armpit and the Fulham player still looks as though he would be onside. Likewise your earlier post, it looks like you'd need to draw a line thinner than a gnats willy to sperate the toes of the two Liverpool players and one Fulham player....they are all stood on that "mowed line"...perhaps the Liverpool players right knee in the camera pic is ahead of his toe but the computerised VAR image doesnt seem to show the knee in a similar position.

However....the margins are so tight that I do not believe that any football fan would want to see either goal disallowed....if it needs lines to be drawn then it shouldn't be up for debate and the goal should be given.

Get rid of the lines and have 5 folks with goal or no goal buttons...give them a non computerised image to look at and they've got 15 seconds to push a button...a no selection is the same as deciding its a goal.

It all looks wrong

Don’t think the Fulham goal was offside.

But the Liverpool goal did look offside

There is also something about tolerances being higher in the PL with the Semi Automated stuff

Well it’s not handball if it hits your shirt sleeve and you can score with your shoulder, so it makes sense to put the
line there .

But the wording of that dosnt say that?
What do we expect of VAR.

I have mown loads of pitches in my time and the line should be right through the middle of the penalty spot .
That looks left of it to me.

Don’t trust the semi cartoons that just dosnt look right ,Wirtz is levitating 😂
