Of course, and rightly so….just a bit of harmless fun. Will have to wait and see what Newcastle come up with for the return fixture.
The picture was from the BBC, on the story it mentioned that Sunderland had a team photo after the win with the fans in the background as Newcastle when they beat Sunderland a year or so ago had a photo with there geordie fans behind them.

QPR withdraw an u13 team from a tournament in Milan due to racial abuse. Absolutely abhorrent. I know it will never happen but to me ALL Italian teams should be banned from all world football competitions for a set period to try and deal with this disgusting worldwide problem. Perhaps then other countries might do something about their own fans

Apparently the abuse came from an opponent not a fan. I think I am more disturbed to hear it’s coming from a child. He was obviously taught this behaviour and I presume from a parent, or from friends and ultimately from an adult

Blanket punishments simply don’t and won’t work. All it would do is stir up hate of other forms and cause bigger backlash in other ways. If the abuse came from fans then ban that individual club from all European or international competitions for 2 years hit them where it hurts with revenue loss and keep doing so until they sort their own house out. If they can’t then sanction the national team as well that way you have escalation process.

If the abuse came from the player simply
Ban them from playing for life , losing their career for racial abuse is going to do more to deter them than a single fine or ban.

If it’s a world wide problem, should all teams world wide be banned from competitions? ;) The smiley is to show its a tongue in cheek comment.

Seriously though, what is an appropriate punishment for a child U13? Take their PlayStation off them for a fortnight and they’ll tell you it’s the end of the world. I’m not looking to diminish what has happened, and I’m very conscious that it’s the club’s responsibility to manage the behaviour of their players.

For me, a player ban till next season. A structured educational plan for that player. But what about the club? I wouldn’t ban the club from European football. Can you imagine what it would be like for a child walking onto the training ground or into the club with the club’s senior players staring at you? But is it fair to ban the fans from European competitions home and away for what a player did? To be honest, it might be an option worth considering, and it does hurt the club financially.

Ban all Italian clubs? There’s a trend that suggests it might come to that but I don’t think we’re at that point yet.

Was having a good natter about this the other day, Marmoush Is Excellent and I am gobsmacked that Pep has not tried to put him and Haaland into a formation.
That said, latest rumour doing the rounds is Rico Lewis, Savinho and Oscar Bobb could be sold to pay for incoming players. Ave a feeling that Trafford could be used in a deal Livramento and semenyo is also on Citys radar.
Livramento is going nowhere whilst Newcastle are still in Europe and the League Cup.

Trafford + £40m and Tino in the opposite direction might happen in the summer.

UEFA/FIFA had the opportunity to do this more than 10 years ago when racism was utterly rife when teams with black players used to play against teams from the Balkan region. Spain was also a country where racist attitudes (including those expressed by as then, National team manager Luis Arragones) were regularly directed towards players. But no.... FIFA/UEFA sat on their hands, twiddled thumbs and decided that a few thousand Euro's fine or a coupe of stadium bans was sufficient punishment.

The stable door is now swinging listlessly in the wind and the horse has bolted far over the horizon.

I know no one has lost a life here, but remember Heysel?
Some fans may have been to blame but the authorities even more so.
That didn’t stop EUFA from banning all English teams from Europe.

If they can ban a whole countries teams from entry for fan troubles, they sure as hell can ban a countries teams for it’s players racist abuse.

In fairness to FIFA, they are probably busy brainstorming ideas on how to get on the good side of World Leaders. FIFA Peace Awards take a lot of planning after all.

Meanwhile, FIFA rules strictly prohibit political slogans and celebrations, to maintain the game's focus on sport, fairness and integrity :ROFLMAO:

Shall we just change the front banner to McGinn lifting the Premier League trophy now or do we still have to wait? Hahahahaha

Another great win for the Villa, the boys are on fire!

Mega tough few fixtures coming up (United h, Chelsea a, Arsenal a) never ever beat United even if they're garbage and were playing well. Hopefully take 4 points from the next 3 somehow!

As always UP THE VILLAAAA

Getting 4 points will be best if your 3 points comes against Arsenal, as it'll stop them getting 3 points in the process (classic 6 pointer).

Getting 4 points, with a win against Utd, draw against Chelsea and loss against Arsenal will probably feel a bit more deflating if you fancy a title challenge, albeit might feel a bit better if the aim is to finish Top5, as it takes points off the guys behind you.
