It’s that big six bias, it’s all set up so the likes of little Liverpool can’t break into the cartel of the likes of the big bad Forest.
How are they meant to compete when they are not allowed to spend?
Couldn’t even buy a centre back

Had Utd planned to bid for Kane and Rice, they wouldn't have really needed those 4 players, and would have had change left over most likely (perhaps they could have still bought one of those 4 along with Kane and Rice). Plus, Ugarte may not have been a necessary buy if Rice had come, nor Zirkzee with Kane there. There is nearly another 100 million Euro saved. Players like Kane and Rice are also the types of players than are very good at lifting the performance of players around them I suspect.

Wow we're on the same page for once... :LOL:👏 Totally agree with everything there. Kane is that good he's essentially two players in one and Rice is also that good he can play a proper box to box role.

I'd also argue Bowen would've been a really good low risk buy back in 2022. I think with Rice and Kane on board, Rashford would've pulled his socks up good and proper and become the player he's capable of. He's looked a total pro at Barcelona because he knows he can't get away with anything else.

He's definitely improved and you can see his fitness and confidence is on another level now. He actually looks like the best player on the pitch in a fair few games.

Occasionally he has the odd game where he looks a bit wooden legged and runs in circles but these are few and far between now. They tended to be for England under Southgate funnily enough.
 
Would Guehi want to go to Liverpool now? May be a lot more uncertainty as to which direction they will be going in now, and surely another big club with lots of money could offer him a better opportunity?

Would he? I'd say probably. I hope so! Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Real on a free and the end of the season though.

If he did come to us he'd immediately be our most in form defender though... so that's something to look forward to! 🤦‍♂️

Oh you've reappeared after the early season implosion I see. Yes we've got 2 groups who dont get on in our fan base, it happens and nope, not a good look.

Still, apart from that and the late loss, still enjoyed a great trip.
