Has this turned into the busiest long term thread into the quietest long term thread in the space of 2 or 3 weeks?

Probably down to the poor standard of the league in general? Arsenal clear at the top but they're just grinding out wins. The rest look good one week, bang average the next.

Better from Liverpool.
But still work to do.
Midfield and back four looking more solid.

We still wasted some good opportunities with a poor final ball.

How is Onnana not sent off for the hand around the throat, poor from VAR again.

Slot has a big problem here. Liverpool look a much better side with last seasons players, yet he can't leave £350m on the bench....

It’s strange how the new players are struggling to integrate into the squad and style of play. Yet watching football focus earlier and they were waxing lyrical about Sunderland. How many players they have bought since promotion and how quickly they have gelled. Still early in the season but they are looking good.

Nope, not sulking here.:)
Just giving everyone a chance, so the Chelsea and Arsenal fans don't start crying if we win it again.. ;)
That’s why I said most not all 😉
Don’t think there were any Arsenal fans in here to be fair not seen anyone comment to say they are. In fact I’m not sure I’ve even seen a Chelsea fan comment about Chelsea 🤔

I think Sunderland were quite lucky to scrape promotion and had to make a lot of improvements. I'm certain they'll drop off badly at some point this season.

Liverpool look to have made too many changes and at the elite level, there's more egos involved. I'm sure he'll get it right as he's clearly a world class manager but it looks Arsenal's to lose at the moment? Do you think City are all that or just reliant on Haaland?

Is he really?
Big call that 😬

To take over from Klopp and win the title off the bat is seriously impressive?!

I'm not a Liverpool man either, much prefer Chelsea or Utd but he deserves credit for last season
Credit, yes. World class? Maybe give it more time. Winning the PL title in a single season, with probably the best, most settled team while the other big teams struggled, wouldn't prove a world class manager to me.

What Raneiri did at Leicester was 1000 times more impressive

I was very surprised with how Villa approached the game.
Liverpool have struggled recently with teams who have been quite direct but Villa seemed to try and play out from the back far too often which played into Liverpool hands.

They were quick to highlight that on MOTD.

Playing Liverpool at Anfield, when they are on a poor run, you'd think it would be a basic decision not to play to Liverpool's strengths.

Really really bizarre from Emery. Especially as they had many warning signs that playing out from back was getting them into trouble

I do not come on here as often as in th elastic but Liverpool win and no comments from LP.

Is he taking a well earned rest or has he decided to leave following a poor set of results. Hope it is the former.

From Citys point of view, they are reliant on Haaland at the moment, but injuries have been unreal.Cherki, Ait nouri, Marmoush have been missing but are now back.Rodri missing for the foreseeable future. If Pep gets chance to play his strongest 11 it’s a very impressive line up.
Personally I agree, Arsenal are grinding out results and looking favourites at the moment
