you’re right he has never been lobbed from distance twice. But unlike Sean he’s never won the:

Football league First division (Pre Prem)
Premier League x 2
FA cup x 4
Community shield x 3
European Cup winners Cup

Know what CV and career id rather have 😉
Premier League: 2007–08, 2008–09, 2010–11, 2012–13[87]
Football League Cup: 2008–09[88]
FA Community Shield: 2011, 2013[86]
UEFA Champions League: 2007–08[86]
FIFA Club World Cup: 2008[86]

Anderson’s CV at Man Utd 🤷‍♂️😉

Pickford and Seaman were quality for England.

I'd rate Pickford higher for England but Seaman takes it for club level. Huge caveat in that Seaman had the greatest defence in front of him for a long time at club level. Pickford should've left Everton years ago, his club career has been a total waste.

Difference being though Seaman was a very integral part of winning those trophies. He was far better than Pickford at club level.

Mainly because Pickford didn't have those Arsenal players around him. Djimi Traore has a Champions League medal, does that make him better than Seaman? These are individuals in a team setting.

The discussion wasn't whose trophy cabinet was better, it's which keeper would you rather have. I'll take Pickford over Seaman, easy decision.

I saw David Seaman play for City v Lincoln. He was rammel 😂 warming up alongside him, Joe hart and Kasper schmiecal.

I’m not sure I never saw Traore in the nets. 😂
I reckon Seaman was a better left back though 😂

Fair play to making that decision I’d have Seaman over Pickford any day but it’s about opinion and I respect your choice

So where does he rank in terms of GK’s in the Prem over the years and internationally
For me, I reckon he could be one of the most under-rated PL and England goalkeepers by many.

Sure, I'm not going to put him right up at the top level of Schmeichel and so on. Not playing for a side that competes for the PL title will always damage his standing in discussions like this.

However, I think he is a fantastic keeper, and has a fantastic personaltiy to deal with set backs. Nothing unnerves him, and he seems to always be absolutely ready for anything. If a mistake does happen, it is like water of a ducks back. And it is why he has stayed as England keeper for so long. How many keepers have come in, and very quickly a bad patch seems to almost destroy them?

I heard someone on a well respected podcast say Pickford has only made 1 error leading to a goal in his entire England career which is seriously impressive...
The commentary team on Tuesday made mention of this and the fact that when Pickford was (sometime in the past) told of this, he was able to recall exactly which goal it was and the error that he made.

I've always thought Pickford a bit of an annoying, slightly over dramatic type, but I saw him in the flesh last year for Everton (albeit, only against West Ham 😉) and was really impressed with the way he managed the game for the whole 90 mins. He was very impressive.
On a slight tangent, as an ex 'keeper, I can still remember most of my ricks from 40 years ago :) .

Yes only ever scored one own goal!
It’s like it was yesterday 😂

I dunno....a bunch of Geordies behind the goal waving blow up dinosaurs with short arms often seems to upset him.
