Gonna be interesting for Forest. It should at least be entertaining. In a lot of ways I hope Ange doesn’t change. His teams are always great to watch and they can beat or lose to anyone 4-0

I do agree Nuno wanted this. Just odd timing on his side. Loads of new players bought, retained most of the squad from last year etc.

The style of football will change and despite what the press are saying I think Forest have the squad who can adapt to a more attacking style.

Perhaps Forest are intentionally making themselves a circus?

They may have a deep envy of the so called "Top 6", and realise it will take them years and years to generate similar fan bases, success and commercial opportunities that those clubs enjoy over a longer term. And even then, it may never happen, as there are plenty of other clubs trying to reach the Holy Land.

But, make themselves a circus where everyone is always talking about them, it might do them some good in the short term. Better people are talking about you sometimes, rather than always being ignored. Bad publicity is good publicity, to some.

He really had no reason to do what he did and say what he said....other than because he wanted to throw his toys out of the pram for Marinakis changing the infrastructure behind the scenes.

He's been backed by almost £200m of investment in players this summer and kept everyone except Elanga. Any manager would dream of an owner being so ambitious.

I did want us to go in for Glasner for the banter though 😆

Agree with all this. He engineered his own downfall, from what I can see. We’ll likely never know the full story.

Ange is inheriting the best squad of players we’ve had in years. Maybe ever. Remains to be seen what he can do with it.

Yeah. I'm really puzzled as to why he's engineered his own sacking. In spite of his complaints the transfer window couldn't have been much better for us.
It's disappointing.

I can only think the players who were bought in were not the ones Nuno wanted.
Maybe those above him were the ones who arranged the transfers?
After last season you would of thought he would enjoy the challenge of trying to emulate it again this season with the bonus of Europe

I don't think he did. Edu has really caused this, no one else. I think Nuno is being hard done by.

Another job on the way or trying to pre empt the boot ?

It seemed that he wasn’t happy from the end of last season , the issue with the injury to Ayinowi seems to start a bit of down turn in form as well

And then edu coming in and signings he wanted and the manager wanted

Newcastle have been doing that for decades.

I still believe that the Awoniyi thing was overhyped and nothing to do with this; just the owner doing his venting thing rather than something between him and Nuno.

Edu's role at Forest still seems odd to me. I long since left Nottingham and have no insider knowledge, but his presence appears kind of ethereal. We know he's influencing everything but he's not exactly been front and centre explaining what he's doing as our global head of football, whatever that even means. We're just led to believe that Nuno wasn't a fan.

Why would he be a fan. The manager is the one that carries the can, so why would Nuno want players in the team he doesn't really want or even need.
There's an old saying that I feel is somewhat relevent here..."Be careful what you wish for".

Nuno wanted Traore and Victor Kristensen because they’d be happy as backups to Neco and Dan Ndoye (who would be playing on his weaker right wing)

Edu, apparently vetoed both moves and We have Zinchenko and Dilane Bakwa instead, who will be pushing to start, with Dan Ndoye pushing CHO on the left wing.

I know who I’d rather have. 🤷🏻‍♂️
