Pretty sure the 1m rule was in place last year. It's a good rule, to stop precisely what happened today. (Edit, apparently it's been around for a few years)

Even if that hadn't been in place, it's as clear a push as you'd ever see. No subtlety about it. Shame though, heck of a strike and a mess by the keeper.
Personally the push was irrelevant, if the defender did it to the atatcker no penalty would have been given. They should both be stgrong in that situation. The 1m rule must be rubbish as thast is the first time since it was introduced in 2019 yet we see it happen all the time. It's almost like someone remebered it exists today and used it for the first time. Usual inconsistency, lets see if SKy / TNT can dig out a few examples where it has not been followed through.

I watched City's highlights yesterday and what a player Reijnders is,fabulous to watch! The ideal replacement for De Brunne.
As for my team Brighton, so so disappointed that they let Fulham back in with almost the last kick of the game.
Hope it's not going to be the same as last season. 😡

One of City's main issues was KDB has been washed up for the last few years. He was miles off the pace last year and it was exposed without Rodri covering.

The 1 metre rule explained. 👍

Honestly how many times if you were sad enough and went through every free kick scored since 2019 when this rule was brought in would you see it broken?

But of course, the rules are the rules 😉

This all day long. Another massive problem was City were very good out wide but the centre of the park was Gundoghan, Kovacic with KDB and there was just no energy. Oscar Bobb was getting everyone excited at the beginning of last season but suffered a Major injury. He is one of the reasons McaTee is going to Forest.
IF Rodri can rediscover form, happy days indeed. Still need right back sorting out.

When i read it I thought it a rammel rule.

Think Utd are unlucky to go in 1 down. Utd have played some decent stuff. Even this first half is better than the dross served up at times last season
