I think if that had been a different side the counter gets stopped in the Bournemouth half with a tactical/professional foul. The player gets a yellow but they get the team back into shape.
I’m not saying that’s right but I don’t think a Rodri type player lets the break happen.

I saw this and to be honest I would let him go. Pep once said “ he reminds me of Phillip Lahm”. He is a decent player, but is a bit light when it comes to defending.

My only concern is we were short at Right back before the Lewis leaving rumours , I wouldn’t let him go unless with have a replacement. Hes a decent player , good on the ball but a bit light weight like you say .

The lack of a striker all too evident for Newcastle but even so, with the attacking options we had on the pitch, there should have been more opportunities created, against a misfiring Villa, who I suspect will have hoped for an opening day win against a team in backroom chaos, but who will ultimately be happy with a point.

Newcastle had more of the ball but didn’t create anything of note really.
Villa for me were too slow with the ball.
I would say a draw was probably a fair result.
I think both teams will need a couple of players if they want to compete for top 4 on today’s performance

Don't worry, I have ridiculed him. I think West Ham saw that Spurs were going top of the league so they shipped a couple more goals to make sure it didn't happen.
