Spurs have been very good...Spence especially has impressed...but PSG have been awful...like they are playing a pre-season friendly....which to be fair, is exactly what it is...UEFA's version of the Charity Shield.

I wonder what Donnaruma is thinking, seeing his replacements pathetic attempt to keep the second goal out?

Gateshead v Newcastle U21's was highly entertaining, as Newcastle came back from 3-1 down shortly into the 2nd half to win 4-3 in the 90th minute. Lot of naivety but some excellent creative play (on both sides to be fair)...just the end product in terms of the final pass was lacking...otherwise Newcastle might have had a few more...or at least not been chasing the game for so long. Nice to see some of the up and coming youngsters...got some talent hiding below the first team squad.

Folks slagged the ladies penalties off but that Vitinha miss was as bad as anything we saw in the Euro's. Keeper dives out of the way and he puts it wide of the other post.
I appreciate this is probably going to happen with each missed penalty this season but that shoot out was so bad, and it was, because of the shear number of awful penalties. It was one after the other. Also to be remembered is that there were some belters, but significantly out weighed by the awful 🤷

Spurs fans phoning in to Talksport moaning about the negative tactics of Frank and that Ange would have gone for it and they only scored goals from a set piece - staggering

And Tel getting racially abused on social media for missing the penalty - disgraceful

Fantasy League question - I'm stuck between three 6.5 options - Mitoma, Sarr (Palace) or Ndiaye. Who would you pick?? I'm currently going Mitoma but is 100% a starter? @Norrin Radd ? Ndiaye is a solid option but Everton are probably the poorer side of the three, and they often start seasons slowly. I like Sarr but Palace have some tough fixtures early on.

That’s talksport for ya 🤷‍♂️

Can't Help you there. Not finalised mine yet, but think I've decided to not have Haaland or Salah. So expensive.

We did our Draft league last night, 9 managers in the league, so the last picks were getting interesting. Think I'm pretty happy with my side. Fourth pick in the first round, so no Salah or Haaland, but I have:

GK: Allison, Onana
Def: Gabriel, Cucurella, Dorgu, Wan Bissaka, Yoro
Mid: Cunha, Mitoma, Iwobi, Szoboszlai, Amad
Fwd: Gyokeres, Sesko, Jackson

Big risk going for so many Utd players, but given you have 4 players on bench at any time, I wasn't worried about that. Especially as the ones I picked were ones that would likely feature a good amount, and should do well IF Utd do well. Jackson was also sort of a risk, but I picked my 3rd striker near the end so there wasn't really a lot of choice left. Figured he might be a decent back up option, and maybe even signs for another PL team before the window, and becomes more of a key player for that side. However, if he rots on the Chelsea bench, might have to swap him for any other striker that is available. And from the available list, I've never heard of any of them except for Nketiah (injured anyway), Bamford, Edouard and Obi. Inevitably, one unknown striker will have a blinding start to the season, at which point a few managers may look to swap them in.

Yeah you are screwed with that many United players, unlucky. Team looks awful. If Gyok and Sesko don't settle or hit the ground running, I cannot see where you're getting any points from at all.

I've changed to Sarr of Palace now. He'll definitely start at least. And he rotates quite will with Kudus fixtures-wise.

It is slim picking up front to be honest. Gyok and Sesko should be getting lots and lots of game time (injuries aside), Arsenal score a decent amount of goals as well, so I'm hoping they are both good picks (and never got the chance to go for Haaland).

I couldn't go for Isak or Wissa based on uncertainties with them, and not even sure how much Emery will play Watkins. Could go for Wood, but will he have the season he had last season, or become the Wood we once knew? Could have gone for Ekitike, but then what happens if Liverpool get Isak? Couldn't bring myself to go for Havertz, and it makes me chuckle that he is classed as a FWD yet Salah is classed as a MID.

The other 8 managers have the following attacks:

Bowen, Solanke, Havertz
Wissa, Delap, Raul
Watkins, Wood, Larsen
Pedro, Ekitike, Mateta
Evanilson, Welbeck, Barry
Haaland, Richarlison, Zirkzee
Jesus (For), Jesus (Ars), Piroe
Isak, Hojlund, Muniz

Some huge risks in many of those front lines as well.

O yeah, and one chap picked Maddison with one of his early picks. And a few seconds after he did, he left our WhatsApp group chat. That was a big Doh! moment :ROFLMAO:

Watkins will start every game for Villa, and he's been in superb form in pre-season. If you had the chance to get him and didn't take, you've made a blunder in my opinion.

I've changed my mind again and put Ndiaye in now. :ROFLMAO: I've literally redrafted my team 100 times at this point.

Watkins was only available for my first pick. Haaland, Salah and Palmer had already gone. I went for Gyokeres in my first pick, because Arsenal score lots of goals, he is their first major striker buy in ages, and he has scored loads at his previous club. So, I felt he was worth the pick. I believe Watkins was snapped up by the manager who picked 8th. My 2nd pick was 13th overall player to be selected. I believe I went for Cunha, then probably Gabriel next time it came round to me. By the time I picked another striker, I was actually delighted that Sesko was still available, knowing he should be a focal point and play a lot of game time.
