I'm not busy this week so I've been endlessly drafting and re-drafting my Fantasy team. I keep flopping between Salah + Haaland or no Haaland. I'm currently back on having both, but you do need a pretty poor bench to make it work. 😄

I'm going Haaland in mine and leaving Salah. I wonder whether he'll be played wider to accommodate other signings and the goals will be shared around. I also can't believe that City will be as poor (by their standards) as they were last season and I can see Haaland getting off to a flyer.

It’s Manchester United FC, which is registered on the New York stock exchange, which is skint. Red Football, the football side of the business which is consequently governed by PSR, is not.

It was common knowledge at the start of this summer that United could spend £150m plus on players without selling anyone and not even break sweat when it came to PSR. It’s been widely reported.
This is all well and good but surely any businesses linked to the club should affect the football club’s revenue. Just circles back to the argument of loopholes, is my point.

Not their fault for taking full advantage. Good for United to have the luxury of multiple organisations under the Manchester United banner, to be fair.

I suspect the murky world of top level football is rife with this sort of smoke and mirrors.

He is playing in all Arsenals pre-season friendlies and stood out amongst his peers in Englands U-17 euro 2025 team.

Might not start but i reckon he will feature a lot off the bench.

We have the same with young Rio

They will prob play the odd cup game but shouldn’t be near Prem matchday squads

It’s good exposure for them in Pre season

The players that City have got out wide in Cherki, Savinho, Foden, Silva, Doku, etc.Haaland should have a stonking season. How’s that for a kiss of death 😖

The infuriating thing with city, for me, is that you often get in great positions out wide but then refuse to put the ball across. How many goals would Harland score if they put the ball in? Good players out wide but don't use it 🤷

Old school blighter me 😄

I’d love to see a team play old school 442 in the prem, see how opposition teams would handle it.

I read a very very good piece about the transformation in City this last season. The stats told a story that most City fans already knew. Teams have sat back and massively hit City on the break and hurt them. Yet City never did it in return, certainly not since the days of Sane and Stirling. Peps Tikka takka was the way forward. Roll on a few years and teams like Bournemouth and others were massively disciplined and had worked City out. City had to change. That change massively involves a guy called Pep Ljinders.
He is helping to change Citys style of play this season. I will go as so far to say that City should be unrecognisable this season.

I think pep will start 442, but the full backs will push forward, especially with the lad from wolves at left back. But Pep like to push a centre half into midfield but if a centre half and left back have pushed forward. Citys defence will have more holes in it than Jordan’s knickers.

Isn’t that the managers job ?

FFS...it now appears that Bayern have suddenly decided they are interested in Nicolas Jackson who allegedly is Newcastles Plan E (or is it F?) after being rejected by Sesko et al.

Personally I reckon we should go all in on the German youngster Woltemade...sod all these established named strikers....lets do something out of left field.

Seemingly more than one outlet is also reporting we are interested in Villa's McGinn. Now personally, i think he could do a great job for us, but he wouldnt be a regular starter but would be a squad player coming off the bench to stabilise things once we'd established a lead. Not sure he would be up for that role though.
