I don’t like what Isak is doing it’s childish to get your own way!

Said to my mate “ do we really want that attitude in a player at Liverpool.”

I’m not so sure it’s very unprofessional imo.
It goes on all the time.
Just shows that it’s the players that have the power.
It’s not like Newcastle can afford to just say no & make him stay.
Like I said earlier,it’s the hypocrisy of football fans that were whinging a few months back when one of their players wanted to leave & they hammered him, even tho he did it in a professional manner.

Isak will need to be very clear to Newcastle as well

All this “exploring options” nonsense just add more confusion

If he wants to leave then put in a transfer request and tell Newcastle to negotiate

Not a fan of what’s happening right now

Or Newcastle just want to get two strikers in and then let him go
He won't put in a transfer request as then he would lose his loyalty bonus. No player does that any more.

Loyalty bonus 🙄

Not so sure letting your contract run down and refusing to sign another so the club can get a fee is all that professional either.

But if anyone thinks Newcastle hasn’t done what other clubs are doing their wrong.

Footy transfers are a mess atm and mostly run by agents posting rumours on social media.
Contracts aren’t worth a carrot once a player wants to leave.

It’s just someone trying mental gymnastics to compare to vastly different situations to take a dig at Liverpool fans

Trent run his contract down and for a player that is worth £60mil plus we got a token £10mil

If Isak goes it will break records and Newcastle will earn a lot of money for him

It’s the same as the Coutinho situation

The club also let his contract run down.
It’s not down to the player to make sure the club get a fee for him.

Not sure anyone has said this...certainly not myself.

As for your last two lines...there are not two greater truths out there on this planet.

This is the football thread & we’re just having a debate 👍🏻👍🏻

And you were singing a different tune back then 👍🏻👍🏻

The club can offer a contract and I think Liverpool did !
But they can’t make a player sign it.

If Newcastle don’t want to sell Isak then hold him to the contract he signed.

But money will have the last say as usual.

So will Real Sociedad....they get 10% of the difference between whatever the fee ends up being and €70m....no wonder they are happy to host him training at their facilities.

So if a player gets to say 12-18month on their contract & won’t sign a new one then you sell them.

Are you seriously suggesting that if a player wants to leave a club, they should sign a new contract?
Sorry but how does that make sense??

If Newcastle were to make Isak see out his contract & he downed tools they’d be screwed financially.
