Needs to play for Madrid for that to have a chance of happening. For some reason Saudi never crossed my mind.
If they offered £150m I’d snap their hand off.
He’s good,but he’s not unreal.
I don’t ever see him winning the Ballon d’or.
If any player wants to leave & you can get £100m+ they should sell imo.Needs to play for Madrid for that to have a chance of happening.
Yep for £150m....or even £135 plus add on's...maybe even a sell on fee percentage...would be silly not to take....would free up a lot of PSR headroom whilst commercial income grows.
The Geordie world collapsed when we sold Andy Cole to Man U....but Ferdinand, Shearer, Ginola all arrived and the supporters saw a period of football (albeit brief) that hadn't been seen arguably since the 50's.
They only bought 1 player last season.....so how is that buying the league?eh?
We’re talking about now,the presentThey only bought 1 player last season.....so how is that buying the league?
Think Liverpool will look to pay that sort of money for himNeeds to play for Madrid for that to have a chance of happening.

Will need to be a one-off up front payment....none of this installment rubbish.....and as for Saudi....depends what his agent is telling/selling him. The agent stands to make a fortune wherever Isak goes but many of them are in it for themselves as much as "their" player.Think Liverpool will look to pay that sort of money for him
Can’t see him agreeing to go to Saudi
Blimey you’ve changed your tune, wasn’t so long ago you were telling us Liverpool wouldn’t spend £100m on 1 player, even after they tried with CaicedoThink Liverpool will look to pay that sort of money for him
Can’t see him agreeing to go to Saudi
But didnt spend much at all last season....how many other clubs spent as little last season? We’re talking about now,the present
Klopp spent £850m at Liverpool,so don’t get sucked into thinking they did it on A shoe string budget![]()

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make here? But didnt spend much at all last season....how many other clubs spent as little last season?
Would £400k per week really be silly? He isn’t silly , going to Saudi will be a waste
And even installments it allows Newcastle to still spend whatever money comes in
Its rare outside release causes a transfer fee is paid up front
But didnt spend much at all last season....how many other clubs spent as little last season?
But it’s still trying to buy successWhatever spending we have done ever since FSG took over has all been within the clubs means , some big sales have helped over that period and the work done on the commercial side and stadium is reaping its benefits
Every club spends money on players - some use the money they earn , some spending owners money - I’m more than happy with spending within the means and not having to rely on a billionaire oil money or hedge fund
But it’s still trying to buy success![]()
Yep every top club try’s to buy success.Isn’t every club trying to buy success? The only ones that you could say aren’t are the ones who don’t sign anyone, ever.
Some clubs just have bigger budgets than others, partly because they sell very good players….like Liverpool did with Coutinho.

Some just don’t like to admit it

Agreed, but it’s been a problem & “ruining the game” when Chelsea & City did it.It’s not just the top clubs though, they just get the attention. Any club who signs a player is trying to buy success by spending money on a better player rather than using someone they already have.
Clubs are trying to buy relative success at every level in the pyramid.
Post of the nightLiverpool are doing what ALL the top clubs do,buying success.
Difference is they look down at other clubs for doing it & act like they don’t![]()
