McTominay was Man Utd’s version of Curtis Jones - solid decent midfielder who can work very hard and provide a lot of energy

Has proved his worth over there and good on him - player of the year

Same also with Gilmour and to some extent Lukaku
With respect he's a better player than Curtis Jones.

On another note (not related to your post, Tashy), Forests bemoaning of officials has never been specifically about them; it’s them calling out the inconsistencies and bad decisions for everyone that we see week in and week out. If PGMOL (and people like Neville) aren’t held to account and we just accept things, then the game won’t ever change for the better.

So now we are to believe that the whinging and whining every week is not self interest but merely acting as guardians of the game.

How gullible do you think the rest of us are.

….and calls the ownership mafia-like…

But yes, this is precisely it.

The tweet which the club deleted was very much specific

That’s pretty much accusing the official of bias

The Neville stuff is hilarious and he's got ony himself to blame.

You've got someone who was an utter failure of a manager yet he talks as if he's some authority on the subject.

He's been a failure as an owner of Salford, literally buying a few early promotions from non league and then stagnating with tiny crowds. He's sacked managers at an alarming rate yet he talks about what the Glazers and Radcliffe are doing right/wrong. He can't even get it right in League Two with a huge financial advantage!

He's a complete hypocrite and it's good to see him being called out on this stuff.

Pathetic behaviour on the part of Nottingham Forest.

Their persistent displays of collective paranoia make it very difficult for the neutral to continue to admire their achievements this season.

It's spiteful action in refusing accreditation to Neville resembles the behaviour of certain totalitarian politicians around the world who want only their version of the story to be presented.

Like a good many I suspect I had a soft spot for Forest due to the Clough era but the constant whining this season is rapidly eroding that respect.
This pretty much sums up my feelings about Forest these days.

I was pleased to see them come up, as I remembered them from the early days of being a football fan. Early 90's, panini sticker album, can still visualise the likes of Stuart Pearce, Ian Woan, Jason Lee, Bryan Roy, Scott Gemmil and Lars Bohinen. Final years of Bryan Clough.

However, since they've come up, I have heard so much bitterness, resentment and conspiracy theories. It seems like many Forest fans have built up a high level of bitterness and jealousy as they've struggled outside the Premiership, while other clubs have thrived during the boom period. The rest of us are only hearing it now, as they are now in the limelight again.

Get over it. Ultimately other clubs were lucky enough to sustain good football during PL boom years, unluckily Forest were not. Other big clubs have also suffered, Wednesday and Leeds for example.

The owner is pathetic. Like an evil cartoon character. He doesn't need to sit down and have a pint with Neville if he turns up at the stadium, so there is no need to ban him. If he wanted to take Neville head on, he could have publicly asked him for an interview and defend himself. But he isn't man enough to do that. In fact, I had forgotten the mafia comment and pretty much forgot about his pitch invasion. Banning Neville has fanned the flames that had almost gone out into a wildfire. The owner is an idiot, and Forest just aren't that likable anymore for many neutrals I suspect. Much prefer teams like Brighton, Brentford, Palace, etc.

Forest have had an excellent season, can the fans and owner not just focus and have pride in that? They could sustain that for a few years, and establish themselves.

My above comments are just based on my general perception from what I've heard. I'm sure there are many many fantastic Forest fans who stick to the positives. So, other people's experiences may be very different.

If members of the media wilfully misinterpret information and publish inflammatory rubbish then it's right that there should be consequences.
The Sun's lies about Liverpool fans are the far end of the scale - I wish they'd gone under for it. But you have to start muzzling them somewhere on the spectrum of sensationalist misinformation.

The lies of The Scum are a world away from Neville forming an opinion on the owner of Forest based on his actions

Its also worth recalling that the club were also punished for posting inflammatory rubbish

There is a big siege mentality going on with Forest right now that’s crossing into paranoia

A lot of neutrals over the season have wanted to see Forest grab a CL spot - wouldn’t surprise if people had changed that because that paranoia

You could call out the negatives on every single person who gives an opinion.

What on earth makes your opinion or my opinion any more valid than Neville's? Because we have a fancy keyboard? Or because we once scored a hat trick in the school playground? 😅

An excellent write up re McTominay and an other ex prem league/ Utd players. Bottom line Conte got the players to play to their strengths. McTominay has been used more in an attacking role. But doing that McTominay has been chosen as Serie A MVP of the season.
When you look at Utd, there manager is trying to get players to play to his system and not the players strengths. And it shows.
Ironically and quote.
Last summer McTominay wanted a change of scenery - and United wanted money to help them fit in with the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

So Utd were struggling for money 😳 and McTominay who has been at Utd for as long as TAA was at Liverpool is not slated by the fans. 🤔
I always liked him at Utd. Always gave 100% and got a few goals when needed as well.
Since he's been at Napoli he's been a revelation, Conte knows how to get the best out of him and it's working. His goal last night was superb as was his all round play.
He'll never pay for anything in Naples ever again.

Why would Forest fans care about the view from neutrals? Did neutral fans help them when they were struggling? I think the majority of real football fans - those who support lower league teams and go to games would have a different view.

I've got a new level of respect for Forest in the sense they're going to call out huge mistakes made against them, instead of sitting back and taking it. The owner might well come over a little unhinged at times but he's passionate and is sticking up for his club.

I think Liverpool fans were guilty of far worse during the Ferguson years with decades of corruption allegations against ref and the FA, with players and former players parroting the same views. And the Evra v Suarez thing was probably the most classlessly handled incident since the PL was formed. Yet no one doubts Liverpool are a great club.

What’s this ?

Are you are on about fans just moaning about refs decisions as opposed to a club publicly accusing officials

As for during the Ferguson years it was very much a collective that believed Man Utd at times got “favourable” decisions - Webb being their 12th man

Fans will moan about refs decisions until the end of days

Such incidents of which you speak off were heavily criticised at the time. Just like Forest face criticism now.

If Forest are not bothered by neutrals, then they really shouldn't care if a pundit is less than complimentary about them.

Every club calls out mistakes against them. Forest are nothing special. It's the conspiracy theories that are grating
