An excellent write up re McTominay and an other ex prem league/ Utd players. Bottom line Conte got the players to play to their strengths. McTominay has been used more in an attacking role. But doing that McTominay has been chosen as Serie A MVP of the season.
When you look at Utd, there manager is trying to get players to play to his system and not the players strengths. And it shows.
Ironically and quote.
Last summer McTominay wanted a change of scenery - and United wanted money to help them fit in with the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

So Utd were struggling for money 😳 and McTominay who has been at Utd for as long as TAA was at Liverpool is not slated by the fans. 🤔

Pathetic behaviour on the part of Nottingham Forest.

Their persistent displays of collective paranoia make it very difficult for the neutral to continue to admire their achievements this season.

It's spiteful action in refusing accreditation to Neville resembles the behaviour of certain totalitarian politicians around the world who want only their version of the story to be presented.

Like a good many I suspect I had a soft spot for Forest due to the Clough era but the constant whining this season is rapidly eroding that respect.
As a neutral, Forest do have a point, in fact they have quite a few valid points. Not helped by the incompetence of certain of officials and VAR.
Gary Neville is turning into a poor man’s Gary Linekar. You can hardly expect Marikanis to welcome Neville with a pint of Shipstones lager when he turns up at the City ground, when he encouraged Nunes to leave.

Should the prem league be worried. The prem league is close to a 2/3rds majority of clubs owned by American investors. Which could invoke change to the current system. 🤔

All clubs get bad decisions but they don't all go on and on about it claiming some ridiculous conspiracy against them.

I have been a football fan for many years and I can truly say that if my club behaved in the same way I would be embarrassed.

Unfortunately too many fans revert to childish behaviour at times and TV replays, social media and now club owners encourage those actions.

I am old school. Accept referees decisions even when you don't like or agree with them. Be annoyed at the time but move on.

Ignore what the media say about your club, the only opinion that matters on that subject is your own.

McTominay

I know a lot of fans slated him but, for me, as an "outsider" looking in, he always seemed to give his all, and, whilst not necessarily being the most talented player to ever pull on the red shirt, he often seemed to deliver when Man u needed someone to do so.

Have Man U missed McTominay? Would they be higher up the table if he was still part of the squad?

McTominay was Man Utd’s version of Curtis Jones - solid decent midfielder who can work very hard and provide a lot of energy

Has proved his worth over there and good on him - player of the year

Same also with Gilmour and to some extent Lukaku

Re Gary Rat-Neville.

He’s claimed this is an “unprecedented” step in his whiney statement when it isn’t at all. His own manager refused to speak to an entire organisation (the BBC) for seven years because of things they said about his son in a documentary.

More people have seen Rat-Neville’s disgusting Tweet than would have seen that documentary. Forest are absolutely justified in telling him he isn’t welcome. They haven’t banned an entire organisation, only one mouthy rat-boy.

We realise you're not his biggest fan, but this is making you sound just a tad childish right now.

I don’t think that’s a line of conversation to go down
If members of the media wilfully misinterpret information and publish inflammatory rubbish then it's right that there should be consequences.
The Sun's lies about Liverpool fans are the far end of the scale - I wish they'd gone under for it. But you have to start muzzling them somewhere on the spectrum of sensationalist misinformation.

….and calls the ownership mafia-like…

But yes, this is precisely it.

On another note (not related to your post, Tashy), Forests bemoaning of officials has never been specifically about them; it’s them calling out the inconsistencies and bad decisions for everyone that we see week in and week out. If PGMOL (and people like Neville) aren’t held to account and we just accept things, then the game won’t ever change for the better.
