The international powers that be are introducing a rule that only captains can approach the referee and offenders will get yellow cards - probably last about 3 weeks before it is scrapped as unworkable with games being abandoned as not enough players are left on the pitch! :ROFLMAO:
I thought that was already a thing, but just not used.

Just thought of a really good idea for man Utd for the Europa League final. Instead of that garbage thing that footballers do where they get into a huddle before kick off, I think they should do the haka.

That would be hilarious

I’ve no sympathy for refs.
If a player steps out of line & gives you abuse give them a straight yellow, one more word & it’s a red.
It would soon stop.

It’s really not that difficult.

Rugby refs manage quite well. No reason why footie refs can’t go down the same route. Could be chaotic at first but self-preservation by the players would soon kick in…

Would certainly give Spurs something to think about 😂

Agreed.
It would only take a few red cards & players would stop doing it.
But doubt there’d be any consistency.

Within a week pundits and fans will be whining about a ref who has made it all about him and ruined a game.
Or.............the players and managers would adapt and they would learn to behave. Remember when they first brought in the 'swinging arm' rule. Old school centre forwards lined up to say that was ridiculous. Now you barely see them (ignoring the two from last weekend 🫣)

Been saying for years they should do this. I can’t believe it’s taken so long to think of it.
