The club don’t seem to mind letting people go for free

Interesting to see what sort of right back they look to bring in
You really don't believe that, do you? What's his price on the open market, £50-60m? You're telling me that the money men at the club are happy to flush that away? That's £50-60m off your balance sheet, money lost that can't be used to buy new players, whether you need the money or to comply with PFI.

It's a cock up, an expensive one.

Given the two choices of selling him at a reduction or keeping him for the year to help win trophies then keeping him works better

Apparently he’s a rat because the club allowed him to run his contract down 🤷‍♂️

Personally I think they should be directing their anger at whoever is in charge of sorting contracts out.

But this assumes that TTA is happy to be moved before his contract runs out. Given that Liverpool were never going to put him with the stiffs for a season, he knows that if he runs it down, he gets the cash in a big sign on fee rather than the club.

If a club wants to sell a player it's very rare that they absolutely refuse to go, Winston Bogard is the standout one. If Liverpool wanted to sell him last summer, he'd have gone.

As to the consequences of him refusing, who is bigger? That's for the club to decide but it should always be the club.

I agree but the players have the power to do just what TAA did.

Good luck to the lad .

It’s happened a number of times now with players that have left on frees

You could have sold him for 40mil the summer or they keep him - win and then money comes in from that

And if they are offering a contract and he is turning it down what more can a club do

Sell him 🤷‍♂️
And trust me if a player is refusing to sign a contract/run his contract down, the club would leak to to the press 👍🏻

You must remember, Liverpool always do things the right way when it comes to transfers. So, if they are happy enough to let expensive assets leave for free, then it must be great business by Liverpool.

Not sure how you could argue with that? :)

Trent taking some absolute pelters from Liverpool fans on Twitter! My eyes are bleeding from looking at some of the words used about him!

Well we could do it like Man Utd and spend over a billion on 💩

Buying players for nearly £80 plus million and then having to give them away

If there is one team that needs to be quiet when it comes to transfer activity it’s Man Utd 😂😂😂

Watching MNF and I have never heard Antony Taylor speak and his voice doesn’t seem to match

But the Manc accent is coming through very strong 😁

Thank God I missed it. What the actual **** are they doing giving that cretin airtime?!

Just turned on and naturally Spitty Carra is gobbing out his thoughts on Trent. Not sure why I expected to hear anything about Palace or Forest. They’re only playing tonight, that’s all.

They were talking about Forest and Palace earlier in the program

It’s MNF - they always start the program 90 mins before the match so they can go through the weekends action

Which is fine. But surely the main focus should be on the game actually being played? It’s the same every week unless the big 6 are playing.

Glad I’m listening in the car tonight.
