Gross, Francis, Santini and Sherwood.... I think you underestimate how many bad managers Spurs have had 😅

Spurs and Man Utd do have much better squads and first elevens than their league positions indicate though. Man Utd's issue is a manager refusing to budge on his system and the same can also be said for Spurs. Both have had some really serious injury issues too.

Spurs have had massive issues with injuries especially early doors

I don’t mind Ange , enjoy the way he dismisses the media with such disdain

They have a great chance to win the Europa

Spurs could finish 17th

That would be their worst ever premier league finish... All of those above managers managed better with lesser squads

Sherwood was outstanding.. for us

17th and a major European trophy (not something like the Conference League) with a CL place would be a better season than almost anyone has managed there IMO.

Unless you're winning the league all that matters is a CL place and winning a trophy. They've still got the chance to do both. That said I struggle to see them beating Bilbao or Utd but until they're out you can't write them off.

Love how you try and belittle an actual trophy, remind me how many trophies your clubs won? It's a European comp... If it was that easy to win spurs would have done it the first time... Pathetic attempt they made when they were in it.

Spurs beat the best team in it mind, but with the deluded Ozzie at the wheel they prob won't make the final

Good professional performance from City . Gibbs white should have scored bad miss that but think city deserved it overall
Didn’t want to win that tinpot cup anyway 🥴🥴

Gave ourselves too much to do after the early goal. Just knew it wasn’t our day when we hit the bar thrice, had one put wide by a whisker and another basically cleared off the goal line.

But, can’t fault the effort. Gave themselves a good showing, with one healthy fullback in the squad and an 18 year old CB playing right back.

Big few weeks in the league upcoming now.

Congrats to Liverpool.

Re Forest, I was shocked how poor they were in the first half. City should have been out of sight. The massive Forest support was very very quiet. To see time and again kicking it long from there own goalkeeper and losing it without the ability to play from the back was shocking.
Both Forest and Villa need to regroup to push on for the top Five.
Safe journey home to all the tricky trees. And City fans.
Early goal killed it a big I think. Fair play for them keeping it close (playing awfully, with Danilo basically doing nothing) and then actually giving it a go second half.

Need to regroup and batter xG FC on Thursday now.

With the way the CL has been expanded can we still class the Europa as a major trophy? If Utd and Spurs have made the semis it isn't saying a great deal about the level.

It's only been expanded by 4 places though.

I know I'm doing some heavy lifting for Utd and Spurs here but their first elevens are better than a lot of CL sides from lesser countries. I think you underrate them in comparison to other European sides a bit.

Chelsea are struggling in the league and have played a reserve team most weeks in the Confernence League and have walked into the semis which shows the difference in quality between England and the rest, bar Spain.

It's a very good point.

With more and more of the best teams going into Champions League, the quality in Europa League will obviously diminish (plus, Champions League teams don't even get relegated to it anymore half way through).

So, Europa League is poorer now than ever. And let's not discuss the quality in the Europa Conference

Europa and the conference are nothing like they used to be. When champion league teams used to drop down to Europa, and Europa teams down to conference .. that made it a lot tougher

That's why Seville were the Europa machine.

It’s a minor trophy now with the bigger reward being the CL spot

Wonder if they will get rid of the conference comp now as that’s a Johnstone Paint equivalent now

That’s his tenth of the season

Napoli lost two big players this season but got a great chance to get a title

Gilmour also having a very good season

Their best two players aswell.

Always rated McTominay highly, he was just played in the wrong position. Now he's getting a more advanced role he's notching in a 1 in 3 rate for club and country.

I should add, a trophy is a trophy and it's better to have one than not. The Europa league has dropped significantly in standard though, which is a great shame.
Yeah it's a great shame. We had 3 seasons in it overall and it was brilliant standard. Some great teams

The wins over Lyon, Seville will live forever

It's dipped a bit but if you look at the winners list it's still pretty impressive.

Back in the 2000's crap like Rangers and Celtic made the final.
