Why are we going on about an incident that happened ages ago. Officials make the wrong call at times, including VAR. I don't see the point in dragging up wrong decisions of the past after a decision they get right in the present.

On another note, Wolves have been poor at Old Trafford today. But, Utd as expected, are simply useless at scoring goals. So, of course, Wolves eventually get a free kick and score a worldy.

I genuinely hope the board don't waste time trying to get new keepers or defenders in the transfer window. They need to go on overdrive to get players with some personality and confidence in attack. Relying on far too many kids.

That being said, thought Amass did very well today

I think they'd be better off getting a new manager first to be honest. There's nothing wrong in making a bad appointment but not moving a bad appointment on is a huge mistake. The issue Man Utd have had is in the past when it clearly wasn't working out, they doubled down and backed the manager and gave them huge amounts of money. Amorin has not only been underwhelming, he's been shambolic and it's getting worse. This is levels below Moyes and Rangnick.

No club run properly would take the evidence of this season and give him money to bring in players that suit his system. Maybe Ashworth was right all along and wrong person left.

There was a very angry caller into 606 who was saying that Man Utd should look at Ancelotti

Amorin needs to be given a transfer window and a pre season to see what he can do

Whilst I don’t think there have been any improvements it’s also impossible to polish 💩

Cooper got 10 points in first 13 games , RVN has managed to get 8 in the next 20

It was a poor choice - got the job based on those 3 wins as caretaker for Man Utd

Speak to Leicester fans now though and they STILL won’t have it that Cooper was doing a decent job.

Out of the relegation zone, having generally got points where a newly promoted side should have been targeting them, yet that wasn’t good enough. 🤷‍♂️

Bitten them well and truly on the arse.

That shows the lack of consistency with refs

There have been countless worse tackles than that which have been no worse than a yellow

VAR said it was high and late so it’s a red

It needs to look back over the season and see how many worse than that which have been ignored
Just going back to this, as I didn't see game live but not watching on MOTD2.

The onfield referee looked to give the red card directly, so it's not really a VAR issue.

We all know onfield refs will always be inconsistent, as their perspective in real time can be different. And the outcome will often be different, because VAR has to meet high thresholds, and try and stick with onfield decision.

I believe a red card was correct. But, had ref not given it, I can also see VAR making a case that they got the call right as well. Even if the VAR are 70-80% certain it should be a red, that 20-30% uncertainty probably means they shouldn't get involved and stick with onfield ref.

I think the interesting thing moving forward for Leicester is, where do they go from here. I am not to sure that Van Nistelroy is the man to move them forward. Not scoring at home for what is it, the last nine games don’t bode well. Wonder how long Vardy has left at Leicester.

Perhaps Real M will loan them Haaland for a season;)

Time for him to go to the MLS. He can't do it in the PL anymore. No disgrace, time has just caught up with him. He might do one more year in the championship but perhaps it is time for both parties to shake hands and move on.

Been a lot of talk that it’s the weakest league in history etc etc etc

Here is a graphic on how many points the winners have got each season

We could potentially finish with 94 points

Is it really a weak league or potentially just a strong as all the other years

A lot of the times the issue isn’t with the refs - they have a single instant look and unless they have a clear sight of the incident and it’s clear as day then it’s not always easy for the on field ref

But VAR sees thw incident clear as day and can see it multiple times for various angles

When the tackle yesterday happened it looked a lazy trip and was surprised when he gave a red

When it was shown on VAR you can see why he gave it - it was late , cynical and dangerous , I would hope that if the ref gave a yellow that VAR would have sent the ref to the screen to look again

But it’s the VAR ref that’s been the issue this season - countless times they have seen bad tackles and just gone with the ref

The VAR ref in the Prem is either scared to overturn their mate in the middle or they are completely incompetent and not fit for the job - for some it’s definitely the second one

Look at how it appears to be better in Europe

Spurs game against Frankfurt - ref missed a penalty , VAR got him to check it and he gave it , then he gave a penalty that shouldn’t have been so again VAR got involved and he changed his mind

VAR in the Prem is imo a complete mess and has made the games worse - either sort it out and they actually get involved at the right times ( and not just offsides ) or bin it off

Looking at the winning points total in isolation doesnt help matters. If the chart showed the points of each of the top 5 and how they were spread out it might give more than a clue.

Oh and I dont know if they got the tea boy to draw up the chart but the average of 85 (green line) is clearly wrong...you just have to look at the distribution of scores either side of the green line to realise that it should be around 87 or 88.

And yet it’s a pretty average Liverpool team that have walked it 🤷‍♂️

Great graph tho 👍🏻😂

Leeds rampant!

Just a few games ago the Sky pundits had them dead and buried which was quite ridiculous given the number of games left.
And Burnley doing just enough so far to join them. I would be worried again at the level of the promoted teams. I can imagine Leeds might have a chance to strengthen and they have looked the best side in the league most of the season. As for Burnley and ano, I would be worried it will be a one season stop. Burnley in danger of doing what Fulham did and become a yo-yo club

Looking at the last ten years

2015 - Chelsea won by 8 points from City
2016 - Leicester won by 10 points from Arsenal
2017 - Chelsea won by 7 from Spurs
2018 - City won by 19 from Man Utd
2019 - City won by 1 from Liverpool
2020 - Liverpool won by 18 from City
2021 - City won by 12 from Man utd
2022 - City won by 1 from Liverpool
2023 - City won by 5 from Arsenal
2024 - City won by 2 from Arsenal

Looking at the other teams - all the season bar last season it was either a one horse or two horse race for most of the season

What it doesn’t show is how well other teams have played when playing the traditional top teams and they have taken points of a lot of teams

Man United haven’t had a title challenge for years , Spurs haven’t been in one for years , Chelsea since they last won

it’s pretty much been City and Liverpool for 4/5 years then Arsenal and City and now Arsenal and Liverpool this season
