You never know in football.
Your going to need to attack them at Villa Park
That’s when there most dangerous as Liverpool found out.

They play without a number 9 and the movement is very hard to cope with.
The third goal was a bit of a killer blow
But there not unbeatable if you play well.

Still think taking Cash off was a mistake.

There will also be more space as Villa have to go forward and that could be dangerous if they move the ball as well as last night. IF Villa score first it could be a classic

1. Schmeichel
2. Van der Sar
3. De Gea (prime)
4. Barthez
5. Howard
6. Onana
7. Carroll
8. Bosnich

Howard didn't really impose himself at United but was a good keeper for Everton afterwards so that might've influenced my thinking on him.

Carroll was better than Onana, despite being fairly patchy.

Man Utd have to get shot of Onana this summer, this latest incident just shows incredible bad judgement and arrogance. You're having a terrible season as a team and personally, it's the build up to the biggest game of the season so you don't make cheap comments that can wind up the opposition. His response was about as childish as you can get. The manager must be pulling his hair out as he's got enough on his plate as it is.

I think Man Utd will have enough to get through but any kind of mistake from Onana and he's set himself right up.

We had Carroll at the tail end for his career. He was still a very good goal keeper. Had a few injuries and then we brought in the legend that was rob green.

My memory of Carroll is tainted by that Pedro Mendes half-way line effort that he dropped over the line (and got away with). 😂

Indeed, what a childish comment from Onana. Imagine being a player, when asked about an upcoming game, actually showing some confidence in their ability to win the game?

He should have just said "Lyon are a good team, and we have to expect to be beaten, as we are rubbish and I am a terrible goalkeeper"

I'd actually question Matic. He's the one who made it personal.

My wife and I were two rows back in the East Stand that evening and had the clearest view possible of that “goal”. Even the United fans were singing “One nil, to the Tottenham…..”

Along with Lampard v Germany, it was one of the clearest arguments for goal-line technology you'll ever see. 😄

This is exactly what I want to see - more truth and honesty in interviews!

Maybe he forgot to use the classic media-trained qualifying phrase - "No disrespect to Lyon, but.." As long as you start with that, they're not allowed to come back at you.

As deluded as Onana.
