Watching the city game yesterday. City player is pulled back, ref initially looked to blow for a foul and a yellow, he rightly lets play go on. When the ball goes out he decides not to book the player. Five minutes later player is booked for another challenge. 🤔 which would have been a red or would he have made that challenge. Very strange.
Another one which puzzled me. The linesman does not flag for offside for Forest and the ball goes out for a corner. What if they score from said corner. Why did the linesman not flag for offside? Is he thinking if they score VAR will look at it. The problem is later in the game he then puts the flag up for offside. At what point does a linesman flag or not flag.

Not sure which incidents you mean here Tash. But generally I didn’t think the ref did too bad.

Only thing I disagreed with was a yellow for Callum Hudson-Odoi after he scored. Official reason was for “over celebrating”. 🤷‍♂️

Reckon the real reason was for having the insolence to score a potential match-winning goal against City that VAR couldn’t possibly disallow. 😉🤣
