Do you think that because he didn't send Nunez off for violent conduct when he clearly could have done?
Five seconds before that a Saints player did exactly the same thing twice to Gravenberch but he stayed on his feet!
I think that’s what annoyed Nunez.
But he dosnt really make much contact.
Silly boy though good job it wasn’t Michael Oliver😳

Being annoyed about something doesn't give you the right to lash out. If you do, there might be a price to pay. Whether he makes a lot of contact or a little contact shouldn't really matter, it's the intent. Getting lucky about it shouldn't come into it

To be fair on this, other fans won't mind that Nunez is still available for you 🤣

No intention of getting the ball, it's a wild swing at the legs. If the ref gives it, it would not be over turned. As it was he got away with it.

Gravenburch was wiped out in the same way about 1 min before

That’s never a red card and if it is then we should be seeing more of them

The front on angle shows how little contact there was - if anything the player went down due to the contact from the left leg

He pulls out of the tackle because he’s already going down.

Same tackle twice on Gravenberch wasn’t given because he stayed on his feet.
It’s why players go down to make sure they get the free kick.

Watching the city game yesterday. City player is pulled back, ref initially looked to blow for a foul and a yellow, he rightly lets play go on. When the ball goes out he decides not to book the player. Five minutes later player is booked for another challenge. 🤔 which would have been a red or would he have made that challenge. Very strange.
Another one which puzzled me. The linesman does not flag for offside for Forest and the ball goes out for a corner. What if they score from said corner. Why did the linesman not flag for offside? Is he thinking if they score VAR will look at it. The problem is later in the game he then puts the flag up for offside. At what point does a linesman flag or not flag.

That’s been happening all season.
But refs don’t explain anything.

Spurs lad should have gone against Liverpool in the cup but ended up scoring the winner!

I would also question the “ advantage” just because you have the ball isn’t an advantage if you have a player on the ground and one player is up against three defenders.

Curious to know how you know the ref was considering a yellow, Tash.

The front on angle is clearly misleading as it looks like Nunez is actually going for the ball whereas the side on angle clearly shows he’s going for the player.

I’m all for red cards in those situations. Mistime a tackle, a yellow, but deliberately going for a player should be a red.

Let’s be honest though, having that donkey on the pitch hurts Liverpool more than it hurts the opposition ;) :ROFLMAO:

Hurt us badly yesterday and Wednesday 😉

I agree. Last week we saw a keeper get a red card for going for the ball, getting it and only making contact afterwards by accident. I can see why it was reckless beause if you raise your studs up that high near a players head, there's a risk of serious injury.

Nunez yesterday was a boot off the ball with no intention to play the ball. It was just a violent lash out. That said I had Nunez in my FPL team, so was quite happy he stayed on and got the goal and assist
