Of perhaps they are managing the minutes of a player who didn’t play much football for a couple of months
Cheers. Was just asking if the plan was for him to be a starter. You seem to think he will be, at least in a few games time.

I want him to play as much as possible. One, to hopefully play well and make it easier to come to a resolution come the summer for Utd. Two, I put him in my draft fantasy football team

No worse than you see given every week in other games. It’s endemic in the game now and by most referee’s standards (it seems) now, that’s a penalty.
I agree but shows how bad refs are imo.

Didn’t give Jota midweek for the same reason throwing a leg out and going down.

That’s a pen for the shirt pulling.
But they are never given ! it’s why players dive and that was a dive imo.

But players dive because it’s how they get a penalty. I personally have given up blaming them, for the most part. It’s just part of the game now. Much as I disagree, it is what it is. 🤷‍♂️

(To qualify - I mean where there is contact. When there is zero contact and it’s a dive, then it’s just cheating).

Disappointing result for us (Ipswich) today. I think 1-4 flattered Spurs, if I'm being honest. A couple of questionable refereeing moments before each of the third and fourth, but they're not the reason for the loss. I couldn't have really complained at 1-2.

So frustrating because it's another game that we've started well but without reward, and then you can feel the energy draining out of the players and the crowd when we inevitably go behind. I'm always positive but it's getting very difficult to see where the points are going to come from, unless something suddenly clicks. Bournemouth did us no favours today as well.

Rashford is easily one of the top 5 left wide forwards in the world when he's focused on playing football. Pace, skill and can score 20+. There's very few players with that ability.

It's great to see him starting to get back to his old level, a change of scenery and manager was all he needed. Credit to Emery for gently introducing him into the side without upsetting team spirt.

Great result for the villa today, so good to see Rashford and Asensio clicking and 2 great goals in front of the holte end!

Still in slight disbelief we have these players playing for us 😂 feels like yesterday we were playing Rotherham away in the championship

After seeing some of the chants rice has had from our away support I think he can't handle not being loved by the club..he think he is realising with some areas of the fan base he tainted his legacy by going to arsenal.

That's 2 games in a row now in the league at his new "home" that he had an awful game playing against us. No suprise to me as the hardcore support who hate arsenal are the away support...

Last year he was terrible in the game, gave away a 90 min pen (that was missed) and we won

Today he was awful. He was ghosted past for Bowen's goal and didn't track him and was hooked at 55 mins.. arsenal instantly improved when he went off

He isn't a rubbish player at all! The blokes fantastic he just can't shake the not being loved it seems to me.. say this as he smashes it up when he plays us at our home.. but there he gets a warmer welcome

Did love this from another forum tho lol

"Blokes got no loyalty at all, Irish one minute English the next.. kissed the arsenal badge 2 seconds after arriving he could be doing it for city next year"

Rice is a genuine bloke who gave everything for West Ham and even managed to leave with a trophy. I don't think either of the defeats were down to him, as Arsenal dominated both games and bad finishing cost them.

Some West Ham fans are suffering from the small club syndrome and are overly bitter about his departure. He left to join a really big club and play in the CL. He's come close to winning the title and his move has been vindicated.

I wouldn't say arsenal dominated today at all, they had a lot of the ball but did bugger all with it yet we carved them open 3 times alone in the first half (one leading to a goal) and left them so exposed they got someone sent off for hauling down kudos when he had just the keeper to beat (and a player in support)

If he had gone to citeh I can guarantee none of this would be an issue. He made a choice to join a rival team. So unfortunately for some fans (the away especially) he will get rattled by them.

Arsenal played well in the last game yes but today? No they weren't good at all. Rice was rightly hooked at 55 mins and from that moment they improved dramatically, bad day at the office for him however as I said he is clearly effected by playing us.. there is a proven record of him losing focus. I mean he looks at Bowen , sees him and looks again and doesn't follow him . He was his marker

Quick add here

Another reason rices move has gone down poorly is how he's gone about it. He didn't need to start kissing the badge within 5 mins..singing the arsenal songs. Etc. he was the captain of the club .. but this is the same rice who sang pro IRA songs playing for Ireland and then decided to play for England. It's whatever suits his brand

Hopefully he continues to impress and we get shot of him in the summer.

Is there not something about man united tho that just needs changing. A complete mentally change behind the scenes as players are looking better when they leave etc

Take AWB. I was constantly told he is a great defender but can't cross at all or get forward

So far this season he's provided 2 assists, 3 big chances creations and 2 goals scores. Bearing in mind we are a much lower scoring team and need more chances to bury goals aswell. I mean he seems really good going forward.

Rashford seems happy again away from united

Antony even learning how to kick a ball
