Whilst never been a fan of Carragher as a commentator the difference with them tonight compared to Wednesday is they don’t appear to feel the need to fill any silence with any nonsense - there is no need for the constant comments from rne TNT team

So not happy with the ref on Wednesday, now it’s the commentators 😬
What next, the guy serving bovril at HT? 😉

So …..

What’s happened to Palmer

3 months ago he was superb , watching him tonight and so far he was horrific , doing nothing but just wondering around tbe pitch, giving the ball away with ease

Baleba ( another very good Brighton signing) just pocketed him all night

Is it just a drop in form or was he just on a hot streak for 6 months

Nottingham Forest will now consider its options.
The thing about this ruling is quite simple. The Premier league wanted to vet sponsorship deals. They wanted to make sure they were not inflated. Bottom line it was a rammel idea. How does the premier league know what is and what is not inflated.
This ruling was brought in after Newcastle was taken over. Why? Once more to protect the top table and to protect established clubs that couldn’t run a brothel. Yet at the same time giving interest free loans of owners money to run clubs.

Now look at Saudi Arabia and its money. It is paying stupid amounts of money on players and there wages.Wages the players could only dream of and money to clubs they could only dream of. From a Saudi perspective, To them it is money well spent. The Prem league has no say in that what so ever. And the clubs selling to Saudi are more than happy with that.
Yet when it comes to sponsorship deals. The premier league all of a sudden says that’s no good as it is inflated. How does that work out. The Saudis can spend billions on players, but not big on clubs and sponsorship.
As much as I am bogged off with the Prem league, some of the hypocrite clubs in the Prem that have pushed this have been more than happy to take Saudi money.
Quite frankly the Prem league has made a pigs ear of this pandering to the elite.

Imagine if they and Everton had been relegated. The ensuing court case could have finished the Premier league
Quote

In November, the Premier League voted through amendments to the rules despite opposition from Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa, as well as City.

What I don’t understand is why did Everton not oppose the ruling by the Prem. i don’t know the answer

Over the last 3.5 years Brighton have got over £230mil from Chelsea for players and coaches etc

Looking at the two teams tonight you can see which club is run better

Some really good football from Brighton

Mitoma and Baleba will prob be the next two to be sold for big profit and I have no doubt that Brighton will just find another gem

What a superbly run club , hopefully they can sneak into the top 5 and CL spots , they deserve it

Thanks for that, Brighton! 😉👍

And Derby got thrashed by a team captained by one of our former and very popular players! 👍

A win for Forest and a draw between City and Newcastle tomorrow please, barman.

Brighton are heavily dependent on the owner, Mr. Bloom and his generosity though.
