Definitely not seen enough of him to justify that sort of money. Saudi clubs chuck it around of course, but it would be a gamble for someone like Arsenal. He has 12 Premier League goals, and we've seen in the past from the likes of Benteke, Carroll etc that one good season in the Prem isn't enough to know that they'll keep being consistent.

I remember the last Euros final when we were 2-1 down iirc, the defenders backed off and he had a great position inside the box near the pen spot, ball came to him and it should have been one touch swivel and hit, his first touch was horrific and the chance was gone. Maybe 60M is what it costs now for decent but not top quality strikers?

I was talking about Duran. :LOL: Watkins is definitely good enough for Arsenal, and would fit their playstyle, but he is 29 now, so age becomes a factor into the fee. Will his pace start to go in a year or two?

£60mil for a 29 year old - you would snap their hand off imo

But it’s all a bit last minute from Arsenal

If they have £60mil to spend on a striker I’m not sure why they don’t look at someone like Sesko

There was a time last season when it sounded like Evan Ferguson was going to be the next mega-star. Seems like he's been hampered by injury though? And that Hurzeler doesn't seem to fancy him even when he has been fit?

A prime one for Brighton to loan out, see if he starts scoring again. That boosts his price tag up for a summer sale. Clearly he may not score a goal but he looks the sort, the little we have seen, that will score goals in the right set up. Brighton just is not that set up.

I think he would suit an Everton (we have no space for another loan signing), West Ham etc

Duran shouldn’t be wasting his time in Saudi.

Surley he wants to play football at the highest level.

Not one player as gone to Saudi for any other reason than money.
But it’s ok us slating them for it,I suspect some of us would do the same.
I can see why some at the end of their career would go,but at 21?
Surely you’d want to play at the highest level & see what you can achieve.
But it’s their choice.
